Marvel Studios has released a behind-the-scenes video of Oscar Isaac training for his role in the upcoming Disney+ series Moon Knight.

The YouTube video shows Isaac and a crew of stunt performers mock-fighting one another in a gym. It incorporates footage previously seen in an earlier video. The caption reads, "Coming Soon to Disney+! Moon Knight features a complex vigilante who suffers from dissociative identity disorder. The multiple identities who live inside him are distinct characters who appear against a backdrop of Egyptian iconography."

Isaac's role as Marc Spector/Moon Knight was rumored back in Oct. 2020 and confirmed by cinematographer Gregory Middleton in Jan. 2021. Other actors considered for the role included comedian Nick Kroll and Hamilton star Daveed Diggs.

First appearing in comics Aug. 1975, Moon Knight is the superhero identity of Marc Spector, a former Marine and CIA Agent-turned mercenary who is betrayed and left for dead while on a mission in the Egyptian desert. He is saved by Khonshu, the Egyptian god of the moon, who turns Marc into his avatar and empowers him to take vengeance on his enemies. Marc suffers from dissociative identity disorder and it often becomes clear that his greatest enemy isn't strange monsters or rival vigilantes, but the fallacies of his own mind.

Directed by Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead and written by Jeremy Slater, Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac, May Calamawy and Ethan Hawke. It does not yet have a release date. The series will debut on Disney+.
