Marvel Studios is preparing to introduce a brand new superhero to the Marvel Cinematic Universe-- one unlike any other. Disney+'s Moon Knight will bring Marc Spector into the shared universe, potentially crossing paths with more familiar superheroes. Star Oscar Isaac isn't interested in another Avengers team-up, however. He's got another team in mind.

In a recent interview, Isaac was asked about which Avengers characters he would want Moon Knight to team up with. The actor said (translated from Spanish), "The truth, for me, more than the Avengers, is the Midnight Sons. Imagine, with Punisher, Ghost Rider, Daredevil… I think that would be a very interesting group."

The Midnight Sons made its debut in Ghost Rider #31 (written by Howard Mackie, illustrated by Andy Kubert, Joe Kubert, Gregory Wright, lettering by Janice Chiang) in 1992. The first iteration of the team consisted of the Nightstalkers, Morbius, both Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch's version of Ghost Rider and the Darkhold Redeemers. Eventually, a third Ghost Rider was added to the team, as well as the Master of the Mystic Arts, Doctor Strange. Over the years, a variety of superheroes have joined the team, some only briefly. These include the Scarlet Spider, Black Cat and Moon Knight.

It's uncertain just how far into the MCU Moon Knight will go. Executive producer Grant Curtis previously explained that the show will offer audiences with a story that shares no connections with previous MCU projects. While fans may be assume that means previous Disney+ shows and MCU films aren't required to follow the upcoming series, it can be assumed Moon Knight will be involved with future films or shows. It's worth noting that no official announcements have been made concerning future appearances by Moon Knight.

All that being said, there are rumors circulating that actor Mark Ruffalo's Hulk may appear in a cameo in the upcoming series. While no official confirmation has been provided, Isaac recently fuelled those rumors in an interview, when he disussed Marc Spector's solitary nature and who he would get along with in the MCU. Isaac said, "I mean he's a bit of a loner, so that's the thing... Who would he get along with in the MCU out of everyone? Maybe Hulk! Yea, I could see it happen."

Showrunner Jeremy Slater is optimistic about Moon Knight joining the Avengers, though he could not be sure. "The honest answer is I don't know [what's next for Moon Knight]," he said. "Because [Marvel Studios President and Chief Creative Officer] Kevin [Feige] is the guy who decides all that stuff. Look, if it was up to me, he would be part of the Avengers. It’s absolutely not up to me, but I think that is the goal!"

Moon Knight arrives March 30 on Disney+.
