Moon Knight star Oscar Isaac confirmed that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is not returning for a second season.

Speaking to the Radio Times, Isaac revealed that while he'd be interested in reprising his role as Marc Spector, Marvel Studios is not working on Moon Knight Season 2. "You know, I think we approached it as 'this is the story'," said Isaac. "And let's just put everything out on the table on this story. There’s definitely no official plans to continue it. I think it would depend on what the story is." Despite this, the actor elaborated that he would happily step back into the role of Steven Grant. "That being said, I love being Steven," he said. "I just love it. It's just like, physically, it's so much fun to be him. So, you know, if there was a story that really made sense, I'd be happy to be part of it."

Isaac's clarification on Moon Knight Season 2 echoes similar reports regarding the status of an official sequel. Following Disney and Marvel Studios' decision to submit Marc Spector's live-action debut under the Limited Series category for the Primetime Emmy Awards, many fans suspected that Season 2 was off the table.

Despite confirmation that Moon Knight Season 2 isn't officially in development, many fans believe that Marc Spector and his alters will show up again in the MCU. Even director Mohamed Diab is sure that the hero has a long and prosperous career ahead of him in the ever-growing cinematic universe. "...if it's good, you know that you're going to get a second season, but one WandaVision was great," said Diab. "And you didn't get a second season, you went to something else. So what I'm absolutely sure of is that Moon Knight is staying, staying for a long time, in my opinion. That's just a prediction."
