Oscar Isaac's brother, Michael Benjamin Hernandez, played his body double in Moon Knight, which resulted in him getting a ridiculous nickname.

In an interview with Marvel.com, Hernandez explained he received a text message from his brother two months before shooting started asking if he'd like to be his double on the show. He agreed and went through the same physical training to match Isaac's physique. Acting on Moon Knight also required Hernandez to go through the same makeup and costuming process as his brother, as well as get prosthetics to better match him. This process resulted in Hernandez's version of Marc Spector getting his own ridiculous name: Mork Sphincter. "Mork Sphincter will always be a part of me," Hernandez said of the experience.

Outside his role on Moon Knight, Hernandez has also played parts in 2022's Big Gold Brick and 2021's Modern Love, in which he played Coach Osterhoudt and Mr. Trallio, respectively. In addition to acting, Hernandez is a journalist.

Moon Knight follows Spector, a mercenary with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), on his quest to stop cult leader Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke) from resurrecting Ammit, an Egyptian god who judges people based on their future sins. Spector is the avatar of Khonshu (Karim El Hakim and F. Murry Abraham), the Egyptian moon god, and receives a number of powers through their relationship. He's also aided by Layla El-Fouly (May Calamawy), his wife.

Early reception to Moon Knight has generally been positive, and the series holds an 87 percent critical score on Rotten Tomatoes at the time of writing. However, at this time, Marvel Studios seemingly has no intention to renew Moon Knight or Hawkeye for a second season, as it did with Loki and What If...?.

Regardless of if Moon Knight does return for a second season, director Mohamed Diab believes the hero will stick around in the future. Still, Isaac is not contractually obligated to return to the MCU after Moon Knight finishes its six-episode run, and it's not clear when the character might next appear. There have, though, been consistent reports Mahershala Ali's Blade will appear in Moon Knight, setting up a connection between the two characters.

New episodes of Moon Knight release Wednesdays on Disney+. The next episode of the series was directed by Diab from a script by Rebecca Kirsch and Matthew Orton. It's slated to release on April 27.
