The new Moon Knight series by  Jed MacKay and artist Alessandro Cappuccio spins out of the "Age of Khonshu" storyline in Jason Aaron's Avengers run, which saw Spector battle the Avengers. Spector now protects wayward travelers who come to his newly founded Midnight Mission and continues to keep Khonshu imprisoned.

Momoko is part of Marvel's "Stormbreakers" initiative, which spotlights the rising comic book artists of the next generation. She launched the Demon Days series in March, which features a manga-inspired take on several of the Marvel Universe's characters. The first issue, titled Demon Days: X-Men, reimagined Psylocke as a demon-hunting samurai in feudal Japan.

The relaunch debuts as a Moon Knight television series is currently filming for Disney+. Oscar Issac will portray Spector in the television adaptation.

Written by Jed McKay and illustrated by Alessandro Cappuccio, Moon Knight #1 goes on sale on July 7 from Marvel.
