It has taken some time for Marc Spector AKA Moon Knight to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but after the announcement that a show is in development for the House of Mouse's streaming platform Disney Plus, the wait is almost over for us to finally see the mercenary-turned superhero in the MCU.

There's always a healthy amount of speculation whenever a much-loved character is to be cast, and the internet is abuzz with who could fill Moon Knight's shoes. We take a look at 10 fan castings of the superhero, covering plenty of talented actors best-suited to become the Fist of Knonshu.

10 Michiel Huisman

To many people, Michiel Huisman is better known as Daario Naharis, sworn protector to Daenerys Targaryen in season four of Game of Thrones. After taking over from Ed Skrien, he proved more than capable of doing the job, falling in love with the Mother of Dragons whilst defeating anyone that stood in her way.

He's already got the combat experience, and although he's never had a lead role in a big show, this could be the perfect opportunity for him. He shares a striking resemblance to Marc Spector, and although an outsider for landing the job, there's more than enough in his resume to warrant a shot at the character.

9 Andrew Lincoln

When Andrew Lincoln left The Walking Dead, many wondered what would be next for Rick Grimes. He was the one who held the survivors together, the one who made the tough decisions, and the one who would do anything to protect his friends and family.

Lincoln was exceptional in the show, bringing a rich, dramatic, and emotive performance to the role, which could easily transition to that of Marc Spector. Although he's busy working on The Walking Dead movies, it doesn't mean that he couldn't arrive in the MCU as Moon Knight, and having a likable actor at the helm would mean a lot.

8 Josh Hartnett

Once upon a time, the thought of Josh Hartnett playing a superhero wouldn't have entered anyone's minds, but over the years he's become more of a star, proving he can take on roles in different genres. He played a vampire hunter in 30 Days of Night, a killer for hire in Sin City, and a wild west showman in Penny Dreadful.

His experience playing different characters would certainly help, as Mark Spector's multiple personality disorder is a big part of who he is. He also fits the look of him as well, and whether he's showing off his acting prowess or fighting the bad guys, Josh Hartnett is more than capable of pulling it off.

7 Rami Malek

Rami Malek may not be a name many people have heard thrown around to play Moon Knight, but considering what a phenomenal actor he is, it's not out of the question. The Egyptian actor has instant ties to Khonshu being of the same nationality, but it's on his acting ability alone that Malek stands out.

His popularity grew playing Elliot Alderson in Mr Robot, and recently he won an Oscar for his performance as flamboyant rock star Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. His range is unparalleled, so adding him into the already great pool of actors in the MCU is a no-brainer.

6 Michael C. Hall

Whilst Michael C. Hall may be on the wrong side of 40 to play Marc Spector, he's more than capable of doing the role justice. He's been involved in many popular dramas, including Dexter Morgan in Dexter and David Fisher in Six Feet Under. Hall hasn't got much experience in action movies, but he's more than capable of the intensity needed for the role.

He's got some familiarity within the superhero genre, voicing Batman in Justice League: Gods and Monsters, so a step into the other big comic book camp wouldn't be much of a stretch for him. His experience on stage is also a big help, being involved in some of the greatest plays of all time, such as Henry V and Macbeth.

5 Joe Manganiello

The physique of Joe Manganiello is the biggest plus for Marc Spector/Moon Knight. He's a big guy with the rugged looks and silky hair of the character, and with a love of many nerdy things in real life, there's a good chance he already knows a fair bit about the troubled superhero.

It would be interesting to see how he'd cope with the character, but he's more than capable. After seeing him pop up in the post-credits of Justice League as Deathstroke, it seems as though he'll never get to play that character, what with the current state of the DCEU, so why not jump ship and get stuck into a role that would suit him well.

4 Daniel Radcliffe

Who'd have thought Harry Potter would go on top be anything other than the boy who played a wizard? Many thought his career would fizzle out after the final movie in the Harry Potter saga, but he's since gone onto play a plethora of interesting characters in films like Swiss Army Man, Horns, and more recently, Guns Akimbo.

He's more than willing to try anything no matter how diverse the role is. Radcliffe is a talented actor that could pull off the various personalities of Marc Spector, all the while committing himself to the fight scenes that Moon Knight would more than likely be a part of.

3 Jon Hamm

Jon Hamm looks like a superhero. His slick hair, strong chin, and grand stature fit the bill of many characters, but as of yet he's not part of the MCU. In the past, Hamm has said he's been offered a few roles, but doesn't like the idea of being tied down to a franchise that has him returning to the role in his fifties.

It's understandable given the multi-movie contracts actors have to sign, but that still doesn't mean Hamm would be a great fit. He might prefer that it's a TV show, given the fact his biggest role was as ad man Don Draper in Mad Men, however, it depends if that means joining the MCU on the big screen further down the line as well.

2 Shia LaBeouf

Recently, Shia LaBeouf has been known more for what he's done off-screen rather than what he's starred in, but his fantastic turn in Peanut Butter Falcon shows he's still a vastly talented actor. With art imitating life, LaBeouf's personal struggles could be harnessed for the role of the mentally troubled Marc Spector.

He fits the bill in every way possible, and would be able to take inspiration from many of his movies, such as Fury and American Honey. LaBeouf may be more known for wearing a paper bag over his face and yelling at you to "do it!" than his acting, but this role could be the one to bring his acting abilities back into the public eye.

1 Keanu Reeves

Let's face it, Keanu Reeves is somebody who's got many fans all over the world. In real life he's a wonderful human being, and his body of work is a movie nerd's dream. He was incredible in the three John Wick movies and has already been part of a huge franchise in the form of the Wachowski's Matrix trilogy.

Marc Spector would be an easy role for Reeves to slip into, but as he's currently filming John Wick 4 and the forth Matrix movie, it looks as though his plate is full for the foreseeable future. Still, the thought of him being in the MCU is a tasty prospect, and if anyone deserves such a great role, it's Keanu.
