Disney+ confirmed that the series premiere of Monsters at Work has been delayed.

Rather than July 2, the series will now premiere July 7. The announcement was accompanied by a re-release of the recent trailer, which sees  Mike Wazowski and James (Sulley) Sullivan now in charge of generating laughs instead of scares to help power Monstropolis.

Monsters at Work will see the return of John Goodman as Sulley, Billy Crystal as Mike Wazowski, Jennifer Tilly as Celia, Bob Peterson as Roz and John Ratzenberger as the Yeti. It will also welcome a bounty of newcomers, including the show's lead Scarer-turned-Jokester Tylor Tuskmon.

Monsters At Work takes place the day after the Monsters, Incorporated power plant started harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis, thanks to Mike and Sulley's discovery that laughter generates ten times more energy than screams. It follows the story of Tylor Tuskmon, an eager young monster who graduated top of his class at Monsters University and always dreamed of becoming a Scarer until he lands a job at Monsters, Incorporated, and discovers that scaring is out and laughter is in. After Tylor is temporarily reassigned to the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team (MIFT), he must work alongside a misfit bunch of mechanics while setting his sights on becoming a Jokester.

Monsters at Work stars Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Bonnie Hunt, Ben Feldman, Mindy Kaling, Henry Winkler, Lucas Neff, Alanna Ubach, John Ratzenberger, Jennifer Tilly, Bob Peterson, Stephen Stanton and Aisha Tyler. The series premieres July 7 on Disney+.
