Mongal is a lot like her father and twin brother in several ways. She's incredibly powerful and wants to rule as many planets as she can get her greedy hands on. In addition to that, Mongal is also an impressive warrior to say the least. Unlike her brother, though, Mongal didn't get her butt handed to her by Superman's dog.
Set to make her live action debut in The Suicide Squad, Mongal is as of yet not one of DC's beter known comic book villains. But that doesn't make her any less dangerous to deal with, and any of Marvel's heroes had better take the threat she represents seriously.
10 She'd Lose To: Captain Marvel
Carol Danvers has gone through a long series of evolutions since her powers first manifested. These days, she is widely recognized as one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel Universe. Danvers is also one of the most experienced, having faced an incredible variety of foes in different environments.
In the end, it's her experience as a warrior that gives Captain Marvel the edge in many fights. But against Mongal in particular, Danvers would simply overpower the legacy villain. She would lay a beating on Mongal, then send her packing.
9 She'd Defeat: Hawkeye
Pitting someone with the power levels of Mongal against some who has zero powers like Hawkeye hardly seems fair— but it's almost always fun to watch Hawkeye get his butt kicked. There's just something incredibly satisfying about it.
The problem is that Hawkeye is not someone who backs down from fights very often. If Mongal shows up on Earth and starts causing problems, Hawkeye is going to step in. Win or lose, he'll do everything he can to slow her down until help arrives.
8 She'd Lose To: Hulk
Taking on the Hulk is a tall order for anyone. His strength and durability are staggering, and almost impossible for anyone to overcome. Some of the toughest Marvel has to offer have fallen against the rage of the Hulk, and more will follow.
Mongal certainly doesn't have what it takes to bring the big green monster down. Frankly, neither her father nor her brother would, either. The only chance they would have is taking the Hulk on as a family. That probably still wouldn't be enough to get the job done.
7 She'd Defeat: She-Hulk
On the other hand, She-Hulk isn't as powerful as her cousin, making a solo victory for Mongal much more plausible. She-Hulk is strong, and is more than capable of taking a hit from her opponent. But she just doesn't have the same power levels as the Hulk.
That being said, this would be a close match that could easily go either way. The deciding factor might be Mongal's long range energy blasts, an option She-Hulk doesn't have access to. If Mongal can keep She-Hulk at a distance and wear her down, she has a distinct chance at picking up the win.
6 She'd Lose To: Storm
When it comes to underestimated powerhouses of the Marvel Universe, Storm has to be in the top five of that list. Her mutant ability to control the weather gives her far more options that simply throwing lightning at people. Beyond that, Storm's skills with her abilities are impressive.
Mongal would simply be overwhelmed by her opponent, as many have been in the past. Even Wonder Woman was once defeated by Storm, and if Storm can beat Wonder Woman, Mongal doesn't stand a chance against her.
5 She'd Defeat: Luke Cage
Subjected to experiments against his will, Luke Cage was given diamond hard skin and incredible strength. He took his abilities to the streets of New York to fight crime, sometimes as an actual paying gig.
Luke's problem is that his skin might be indestructible, but his internal organs are not. And Mongal definitely hits hard enough to do some real internal damage. Cage's usual playbook won't work against her, leaving him with injuries he may not come back from.
4 She'd Lose To: Wolverine
At first glance, Mongal appears to have the advantage over Wolverine. She is bigger and stronger, after all. But Wolverine has made a career out of defying the odds and winning fights he had no business even surviving.
His healing factor would certainly keep him in the game and his claws would do a lot of damage. But Wolverine comes out on top of this fight because he's willing to go for the kill, quickly and brutally. As Krypto proved against Mongul Jr., this family has a weakness for enemies who go for the throat.
3 She'd Defeat: Wasp
A founding Avenger, the Wasp is used to being overlooked. To be frank, that's a literal problem for her as she often less than an inch tall. But that doesn't change the fact that she is a formidable and respected hero who isn't afraid of a fight.
The unfortunate reality is that Wasp doesn't have the power to take on someone like Mongal and survive. The only chance she has is using a different tactic and growing huge, then fighting Mongal. But even that would not guarantee the Wasp's success.
2 She'd Lose To: Spider-Man
After being bitten by a radioactive spider, Peter Parker was given the proportionate strength, speed, and agility of that spider. He also gained his "spider-sense" which warns him of incoming dangers. To enhance his abilities, Peter even designed web shooters and other gadgets to help in his superhero adventures.
It's almost a guarantee that Mongal has never encountered someone like Spider-Man, which already gives him a bit of an edge. But Parker's big brain is his greatest advantage. He's almost always the smartest guy in the fight, able to put together advanced strategies to take anyone down.
1 She'd Defeat: Captain America
Even before receiving the Super Soldier treatment, Steve Rogers wouldn't back down from a fight. That tenacity has been a driving trait in his role as Captain America, one that has cost him a lot over the years. But Captain America never gives up, no matter how grim the odds are.
In a one-on-one fight, Mongal would outpower Captain America and eventually beat him down. But he wouldn't make the fight easy for her, forcing Mongal to earn every punch. Cap also rarely travels alone. Once the rest of the Avengers show up, her victory against Captain America would be short lived.
