Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam Karras, the next installment of Yūichi Hasegawa's Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam series, launches on Oct. 26.

As detailed on Anime News Network, Hasegawa's new series will be serialized in Gundam Ace magazine and revolve around the titular Karras, who is an agent of the Jupiter Empire. In the Crossbone Gundam universe, the Jupiter Empire is an autocratic military regime and the main antagonistic group of the series. Two preview images released for Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam Karras refer to it as the "first manga," which suggests any future manga in the series with a connection to Karras and the Crossbone Gundam universe will follow this one.

Previous installments of the Crossbone Gundam manga revolved around a boy named Tobia Aronnax, an exchange student that is headed to Jupiter onboard a spaceship called Smashion. However, a group of space pirates calling themselves the Crossbone Vanguard ambushes the ship, which turns out to be a guerilla group that has formed in resistance of a secret fraction within Jupiter called the Jupiter Empire that intends to conquer Earth. When the Crossbone Vanguard discovers Tobia on the ship, a member named Kincaid Nau rescues him and takes him to meet Berah, the ship’s captain, who explains the situation to Tobia and asks the boy to join them. The boy agrees, becoming a Crossbone Gundam pilot and aiding the Vanguard in their quest to stop the Jupiter Empire.
