Marvel Television's "Defenders" just added a new hero. According to "Luke Cage" star Simone Missick, Misty Knight will appear in the upcoming Netflix series.

“I believe I’m safe to say that I will be on ‘The Defenders,'” Missick told TheWrap.

“Spoiler alert! If I lose my job because of this interview, sorry! I was supposed to be on ‘The Defenders,’ until I got fired,” she added.

Missick will make her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in "Luke Cage," which arrives on Netflix this Friday. There, she will play the "strong-willed cop" and “a woman with a strong sense of justice.”

Created by Tony Isabella and Arvell Jones, the comic book version of Knight lost her arm in the line of duty as a NYPD police officer, preventing a bomb attack in the process. After resigning from the force rather than take a desk job, she received a bionic arc from Tony Stark and went on to start a detective agency alongside her friend Colleen Wing. The two frequently teamed up with Luke Cage and Iron Fist’s Heroes for Hire, and Knight and Iron Fist even became romantically involved.

Executive produced by Douglas Petrie, Marco Ramirez, Drew Goddard and Jeph Loeb, "Marvel's Defenders" arrives in 2017 and unites Charlie Cox's Daredevil, Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones, Mike Colter's Luke Cage and Finn Jones' Iron Fist.
