There have been many individuals in and out of the Marvel Universe who can wield Thor's iconic hammer, Mjolnir. However, a fan comic picked an unlikely candidate to pick up the hammer -- and the current Thor writer agrees with it.Artist @ByTwistwood posted the entirety of a fan comic featuring Fred Rogers, AKA Mister Rogers, meeting Thor and picking up Mjolnir. In response, writer Donny Cates quoted the tweet and said "This is now officially canon."RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: Thor #9 Reintroduces the God of Thunder's Human Host

Twistwood's comic is based on a script by Matthew Wisner; the script itself was inspired by a meme where Rogers picks up Mjolnir and asks, "Pardon me young man, is this yours?" The comic starts off fairly light-hearted and then delves into the nature of what exactly makes one "worthy." "Just because someone has difficulty lifting your hammer doesn't mean they aren't talented in other ways," Rogers tells Thor. "In fact, I suspect these individuals... can probably do things that you and I would never dream of." The comic serves as a reminder of the uplifting speeches that Rogers would often deliver on his PBS show.

In addition to Thor, Cates also pens Venom for Marvel Comics. His upcoming work includes the Image Comics series Crossover, which reunites him with God Country artist Geoff Shaw; and the Venom-themed event The King In Black with artist Ryan Stegman.
