If last week's flurry of character posters didn't tip you off that a new trailer is imminent for "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children," Fox has helpfully provided video confirmation: The second trailer for the Tim Burton film will debut Monday.

Trailers that announce trailers have become commonplace, but at least this one offers another whimsical look at Eva Green's Miss Peregrine, and the "peculiar" children of Ransom Riggs’ bestselling 2011 fantasy novel.

The film tells the story of Jacob Portman, a teenager who, in the aftermath of a family tragedy, follows clues from his grandfather’s past that lead him to derelict orphanage for “peculiar children” and a gateway to an alternate realm. As he learns about the residents and their unusual abilities, Jake realizes that safety is an illusion, and danger lurks in the form of powerful, hidden enemies. Jake must figure out who is real, who can be trusted, and who he really is.

Opening Sept. 30, “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” also stars Asa Butterfield, Ella Purnell, Chris O'Dowd, Allison Janney, Terence Stamp, Rupert Everett, Judi Dench and Samuel L. Jackson.
