There are Nazis that need fighting and there’s only one woman for the job.

Writer Billy Tucci and artist Emma Kubert will bring the classic hero Miss Fury back to the world of comics with Miss Fury: Joy Division. Dynamite Entertainment has provided CBR with exclusive preview art from the upcoming reboot, which shows the hero tackling Nazis during a social gathering in New York City.

Miss Fury debuted back in 1941 as a one-woman solution to the plague that is Nazis. In the series, socialite Marla Drake moonlighted as the fearsome Miss Fury, who took down Third Reich zealots and engaged in intriguing love triangles in her spare time.

Miss Fury had no superpowers to speak of at first, but it was eventually revealed that her skin-tight cat suit enhanced her speed and durability. She has been likened to DC Comics villain Catwoman due to the appearance of her catsuit, which is seemingly made of black leather and features pointed cat ears. Catwoman’s debut predates Miss Fury’s by a year.

The upcoming Miss Fury relaunch has been described as an all-female Inglorious Basterds that will launch readers from the Nazi-riddled skies of New York City all the way to the heart of Hitler’s fascist dystopia. Miss Fury will be aided by her squad of Nazi-fighting comrades, the Black Furies.

Written by Billy Tucci with art by Emma Kubert, Dynamite Entertainment's Miss Fury: Joy Division goes on sale on Oct. 3.
