The Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir audience knows that many of Marinette's friends and classmates become heroes in the series, but quite a few of them also become villains. Most of the characters who become a villain is a result of Hawk Moth's influence. However, others are a little more villainous all on their own.
When the villains emerge as a result of being akumatized by Hawk Mothm, their personalities are often completely different from who they are in their everyday lives. The interesting mix of personalities can allow the audience to pinpoint potential zodiac signs of those same characters.
12 Aries: Evillustrator Is A Villain Of Action
When Nathaniel is akumatized into Evillustrator, he definitely has a different personality than usual. Nathaniel usually gets in his head, keeping his own emotions hidden from others. However, as Evillustrator, Nathaniel uses his emotions to guide him, becoming a person who is all about action, just as Aries often acts without thinking.
Just like an Aries, Nathaniel's akumatized form jumps to conclusions pretty quickly, not thinking things through. He even accuses Marinette of being just like Chloe when she isn't interested in him, though the two girls are very different from one another.
11 Taurus: Audrey Loves Her Luxury In Every Form
Audrey Dubois is almost as villainous in her everyday life as she is when she's akumatized. In fact, her personality isn't very different in either form. Audrey is someone who wants everything her way, not particularly keen on change, and she loves everything to be stylish and luxurious.
Both of those traits are sure signs of a Taurus. Taurus is known as the most stubborn of signs largely because they don't like it when they have to adapt to change. They also tend to have a deep appreciation for art. That can come in the form of gourmet food, music, or fashion. In Audrey's case, fashion is her life, and she makes sure that she and her daughter Chloe are able to live with all the luxury they're used to.
10 Gemini: Cat Blanc Adapts To His New Villainous Role
When it comes to the zodiac signs of the characters, Adrien seems very much like an adaptable Gemini, and surprisingly, when he's akumatized into Cat Blanc in another timeline, so does his villainous form.
Cat Blanc is all about doing Hawk Moth's bad deeds as a result of his broken heart from Ladybug. He's still able to maintain that Gemini charm all while going after the person he loves most in the name of the bad guy. It's certainly heartbreaking for the audience to watch, but other than being on the side of evil, his personality doesn't change much.
9 Cancer: Dark Cupid Holds A Grudge
When Kim is made fun of for his crush on Chloe, he is akumatized into a villain called Dark Cupid. As its name would imply, Dark Cupid isn't a villain all about love, but the flip side of it – hatred and broken hearts.
Cancers are the most empathic of zodiac signs, typically able to make friends and understand others' emotions easily. Dark Cupid is what happens when Cancers feel things so deeply that they're hurt by those same emotions they understand so well.
8 Leo: Lila Loves To Have All Of The Attention
Lila is one of the few teenagers who is actually a villain instead of simply akumatized into one. She originally presents herself as a charming girl with a connection to a superhero, but in reality, she's a compulsive liar who says the things she does because she wants the attention. To be completely fair to Lila, she's lonely and easily embarrassed when called out by others on her lies.
Lila's need to be in the spotlight, however, is very much a Leo trait. Leos are charmers who never stay away from the limelight. Although most Leos would be content to share the spotlight, they also know how to hold a grudge, just like Lila does with both Marinette and Ladybug.
7 Virgo: Nathalie Is The Most Dependable Planner
Nathalie is the assistant to Gabriel Agreste, and she's the best assistant anyone could ask for. She anticipates his needs as both a member of the fashion world and a supervillain. Nathalie even keeps calendars for Gabriel, Adrien, and the rest of the staff.
All of that organization and planning make Nathalie a near-perfect Virgo. She might not have the nurturing warmth often associated with Virgos, but she certainly has the sign's practicality and tendency to manage the lives of those around her.
6 Libra: Reverser Tries To Keep Things Fair
When akumatized, most villains tend to go after anyone who crosses their path; the rare villains who don't tend to have pieces of their own personality peeking through. In the case of Marc, when he becomes Reverser, the villain pays special attention to those who are wronged by others.
Libras are known for being as charming as Geminis, and also for having a more even keel that makes them able to see multiple sides of a situation. They tend to seek out justice for others. Consequently, Reverser tries to get justice for those he perceives as being wronged while he's still trying to achieve his own goals.
5 Scorpio: Chloe Always Goes After What She Wants
Though Chloe is akumatized a few times over the course of the show, she's just as dangerous to Marinette in her everyday life as she is when doing Hawk Moth's dirty work. Chloe is Marinette's primary antagonist while Hawk Moth is Ladybug's.
While it's clear that Chloe cares about a handful of people in her life – such as her mother, her friend Sabrina, and Adrien – she tends to keep those particular feelings to herself. Instead, Chloe outwardly focuses on the things she wants out of life, and she does everything she can to get them. Scorpios often keep their emotions hidden while taking an aggressive approach to their goals, making Chloe a pretty perfect Scorpio.
4 Sagittarius: Befana Retains Gina's Love Of Freedom
Marinette's grandmother loves to travel and believes that everyone deserves to have their own freedom to make decisions about their life. Those ideas are still a part of her when she is akumatized into Befana when Marinette doesn't want to spend time with her.
Freedom is a big trait for Sagittarius. They don't like to be pigeonholed, and that tends to manifest in their own sense of wanderlust. They're also storytellers, something else Befana enjoys as well.
3 Capricorn: Gabriel Has Strict Family Loyalty
Gabriel is the series' big bad in Hawk Moth. He comes by his villainous ways honestly, although he hides his intentions from his son. He seems like a standoffish father when it comes to Adrien, but that's because he's preoccupied with healing Adrien's mother.
Gabriel has a lot of the signature Capricorn traits. Capricorns are incredibly loyal to their family, hard-working, and duty-bound. Gabriel just happens to apply those particular traits to his work as Hawk Moth. He feels a sense of duty to his wife Emilie, and he splits his energy between maintaining a hold on his fashion empire and working to bring down Ladybug.
2 Aquarius: Fei Does Things Her Way
The Miraculous World features a handful of special episodes that are extra long. The Miraculous World specials take the characters to new places, like Shanghai, where Marinette meets a teenager named Fei. Fei eventually becomes a hero by the end of the special, but at the start, she's an antagonist in a desperate situation. She uses the skills taught to her by her father to steal and cheat her way into finding out the truth about what happened to him, but her big heart means Fei can't walk away from someone in trouble.
The idea of Fei taking the things she's taught and putting her own spin on them is a very Aquarius trait. The rebel of the zodiac, the sign walks its own path. The sign also tends to find causes to throw itself behind, like Fei being determined to protect the ruins of her father's old temple and helping Marinette.
1 Pisces: Wishmaker Is A Dreamer
TV personality Alec is akumatized into Wishmaker after realizing that his own childhood dreams have never come true. The idea of following your dreams and being able to escape into them as an adult is right in line with the dreamiest sign of the zodiac – Pisces.
Pisces have a reputation for getting lost in their daydreams, but they tend to be creative, and always on the path to making their dreams come true, just like both Alec and Wishmaker.
