Miraculous Ladybug is a superhero cartoon that's co-produced by Zagtoon, Method Animation, Toei Animation, and SAMG Animation. The series follows the young Marinette Dupain-Cheng, along with Adrien Agreste, as they attempt to balance their newfound superhero identities with the everyday hustle-and-bustle of their civilian lives. Despite the huge responsibility of superhero work, Adrien manages to enjoy a few perks.

Adrien has grown up with an overly-controlling father who doesn't seem to care about him other than ensuring he honors the Agreste name, but Adrien has his found family to support him. He also benefits from a career in modeling.

10 He's A Well-Known Fashion Model

Adrien doesn't pursue modeling because he has a genuine interest in it. Rather, he becomes a model because he hopes that it will allow him to spend more time with and become closer to his father, Gabriel.

While Adrien doesn't get to enjoy any quality time with his father, being a well-known fashion model comes with a few other benefits. He has connections that he otherwise wouldn't, including Chloe's mother Audrey, a famous fashion magazine director. Additionally, Adrien has a successful career to fall back on if he's not saving the citizens of Paris.

9 His Superhero Identity Allows Him To Taste True Freedom

As his civilian identity, Adrien doesn't really know what it's like to be able to let loose and just be himself. He's been preoccupied with trying to live up to his father's expectations of him for his entire life, meaning he doesn't even have a grip on what his true self is really like.

When Adrien is Cat Noir, however, the repressed parts of his personality are able to shine through. It's part of why his playful, flirtatious nature goes so far at times. Adrien's Cat Noir side is the only one that really lets him explore these types of feelings.

8 He Gets To Work Alongside His Crush

Marinette and Adrien are both lucky because they both get to work alongside the person they respect, support, and have a crush on. However, Marinette's crush is primarily on Adrien, who she doesn't know is actually her superhero partner.

On the other hand, Adrien's crush is on Ladybug, so he knows he gets to work alongside his crush. While this can lead to him getting distracted at times, it still helps their crime-fighting relationship. Adrien respects Ladybug, and they always have each other's backs.

7 He Has A Kind Heart And Can See The Best In Others

Adrien has an unbelievably kind heart for someone who grew up in a cold home environment. It's likely that this is a trait he inherited from his mother. Although not much is known about Adrien's mother, it's incredibly hard to believe his kindness was inherited from his father.

Adrien is able to see the best in others, even those who have wronged him. He even has a kinder heart than Marinette, which is a true testament to him. This is displayed in his willingness to give both Chloe and Lila multiple chances, while Marinette loses her patience with them incredibly quickly.

6 He's Able To Make Friends With Just About Anyone

As part of his desire to break free of his father's influence and be able to live his own life, Adrien has an intense desire to meet and form bonds with others. In doing so, he's able to pull himself out of his shell, little by little.

This is certainly helped by the fact that Adrien is a naturally friendly, understanding, and empathetic person. He may not display the full range of his own emotions to his friends, but he's incredibly supportive of others and their problems.

5 He's Able To Manage Negative Feelings To Avoid Attracting Akumas

Sadly, Adrien has got used to disappointment, even at his young age. Anytime he attempts to bring something up to his father, he's immediately shot down or ignored.

While this is far from a perk, it's the emotional regulation he's learned from all this negativity that proves especially useful in a world like Miraculous Ladybug. In the series, a character's negative feelings are weaponized against them. Adrien is able to control his feelings of disappointment in public, which helps him avoid attracting Akumas.

4 He Has The Ability To Accept And Move On From Tragedy

It's awful that Adrien has had to suffer a tragic loss. However, in the process, he's gained the ability to cope with difficult times and move on in a healthy way. After all, Adrien's father is a prime example of what happens when someone is unable to let go of the past and try to move forward.

While it's clear that Adrien misses his mother deeply, he's able to accept her apparent 'death'. He goes as far as to inform his father that it's all right with him if his dad decides to pursue a relationship with Nathalie. This shows his ability to look towards the future.

3 He Can't Be Tempted By Promises Of Power

The main way that Hawk Moth manages to get his Akumatized civilians to go after Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculouses is by offering them unmatched power. Since Marinette and Adrien hold the two most important Miraculouses, it would be especially devastating if they could be tempted by such promises.

Thankfully, both Adrien and Marinette understand that power isn't everything and it wouldn't make them any happier. Due to Adrien's upbringing, he understands that power doesn't guarantee the things in life that will actually make him happy.

2 He Has A Supportive Found Family In Ladybug And The Other Heroes

Adrien's home life is one of the most upsetting of any Miraculous Ladybug character. Never allowed to figure out who he is or express himself, it's clear that Adrien holds some resentment towards his father, despite still loving him. This is clearest when he drops hints to Marinette that not all parents are loving.

As Cat Noir, though, Ladybug and the other superheroes act as a tight-knit found-family for Adrien. It's through these relationships that Adrien is able to remember what unconditional love feels like, despite never getting it from his biological family.

1 He's Able To Protect Himself, Even In His Civilian Form

Most characters in the Miraculous Ladybug universe are relatively helpless against the threat of villain attacks. This even includes Marinette in her civilian form, as she doesn't have access to the agility and powers that she does as Ladybug.

Thanks to his training in Kung fu, karate, and fencing, Adrien has a small arsenal of hand-to-hand combat techniques he can pull out if it's necessary, even as a civilian. With these skills, he's briefly able to hold his own against his Akumatized bodyguard.
