The cast of Miraculous Ladybug are, for the most part, incredibly strong-willed people who know what drives them and what their ultimate goals are. Even so, a lot of the characters that the show focuses on are in their mid-teens, meaning they're still growing, learning adolescents who are more prone to making mistakes or having moments of weakness. Not even the adults are exempt from this, which is good, as it shows that even fully-grown adults allow their weaknesses to get the better of them at times.

This doesn't only apply to the heroes when they're in the midst of combat, either. Many characters have relatable weaknesses that have nothing to do with the action-packed portions of the show, which often gets in the way of them making the right decision or acting rationally.

9 Juleka's Social Anxiety Prevents Her From Modeling

Miraculous Juleka Modeling

Juleka is an incredibly cute character who sadly doesn't have a lot of confidence in herself. She's incredibly excited when she gets an opportunity to model some of Marinette's fashion for her, and genuinely wants to, but there's one big issue with this.

Despite how badly Juleka wants to be a model, she suffers from incredibly low self-esteem and feels unfit for the role. Marinette doesn't encourage her here, either, as she's too caught up in the excitement of being the one who would get to model with Adrien instead.

8 Marinette's Crush On Adrien Causes Her To Treat Others Poorly

Miraculous Marinette And Chloe

Marinette's crush on Adrien can certainly be considered one of her biggest weaknesses. It affects not only how she acts, but how she treats other people. This is seen not only with others who have treated her badly, like Chloe and Lila, but even with Kagami.

Despite having no personal claim to Adrien and being too shy to confess her feelings to him, Marinette actively sabotages other girls' chances of forming any sort of bond with him. Marinette's feelings for Adrien constantly conflict with her acting in a healthy way around other girls.

7 Gabriel's Fondness For Emilie Stops Him From Being There For His Remaining Family

Miraculous Gabriel Agreste

It's no secret that Gabriel's biggest weakness, above all else, is Emilie Agreste. Not much is known about what their relationship is like, or how they treated each other, but it's clear that Gabriel cares deeply for her and wants to be able to wake her from her coma.

While this is admirable, Gabriel's far more focused on Emilie than he is on his son, Adrien, who constantly does whatever he can to get his father's attention and make him proud. In episodes like "Cat Blanc," it's shown that Gabriel is even willing to exploit his son in order to obtain the Miraculouses and bring back his beloved.

6 Zoe's Desire To Be Liked By Chloe Turns Her Into A Temporary Bully

Miraculous Chloe And Zoe

Zoe Lee is Chloe's half-sister, and she has ambitious dreams of being a famous actress. She's quite a skilled actor, but this, combined with her people-pleasing personality means that Zoe Lee is always putting on a role to please others.

When she's first introduced, Zoe Lee seems to have a weakness involving her family, as she stoops to her mother and sister's level in order to get them to like her. This gets in the way of Zoe being able to be her true, authentic self, which is a sweet young girl who may even be more naturally kind than Marinette herself.

5 Adrien's Desire To Please His Father Prevents Him From Forming His Own Identity

Adrien looking sad in Miraculous Ladybug

Ever since he was young, all Adrien wanted to do was be close to his father and spend time with him. When fighting against an Akuma with the power to reveal characters' childhood dreams, Adrien admits that he wanted to be "whatever my father wants me to be."

One of Adrien's biggest weaknesses, by far, is how much importance he places in his father's opinion of him, when his father only seems concerned with results and not Adrien himself. Adrien has spent so much time trying to please his father that he has no idea what he actually wants for himself.

4 Early On, Alya's Desire To Cover All Things Ladybug Lands Her In Actual Danger

Miraculous Alya Ladyblog

Alya is Marinette's best friend, and seems to have a lot of qualities that Marinette lacks, at least in her civilian form. Alya is confident, self-assured, and isn't afraid to speak her mind or go after what she wants. However, this is also a pretty big weakness of hers, at least when it comes to Ladybug.

Before being let in on Ladybug's true identity, Alya runs the Ladyblog, a fan website dedicated to covering all things Ladybug. This includes moments of heated action, where Alya tries to capture up-close footage of supervillains, risking her own safety in the process.

3 Marinette's People-Pleasing Personality Often Lands Her In Hot Water

Miraculous Marinette Panicking

Marinette is an incredibly kind and helpful young girl who's always quick to say yes whenever anyone asks something from her. This typically wouldn't be seen as a weakness for most teenage girls, but Marinette also happens to be the most important Protector of Paris, Ladybug.

There have been multiple occasions where Marinette agrees to do something for someone in her civilian life, only to remember that she has a prior commitment as Ladybug. This isn't even including the times when villains show up unexpectedly, but other events such as press conferences, where she agrees to attend in costume.

2 Nathalie's Weakness For Gabriel Prevents Her From Thinking About Herself (Or Adrien)

Miraculous Nathalie And Gabriel

It's shown in small moments that Nathalie actually does care deeply for Adrien. She even wishes that Gabriel would give up on his dreams of villainy, and instead focus on the family that he still has right in front of him.

However, Nathalie's weakness for Gabriel prevents her from trying to stand up to him or call him out for treating his son unfairly. She even goes as far as to use the Peacock Miraculous - the same one that landed Emilie in a coma - and ends up suffering serious physical harm because of it.

1 Lila's Upbringing Stops Her From Forming Actual Bonds With Other People

Miraculous Lila And Marinette

Lila Rossi is a character who wants attention and will stop at nothing to get it. Although she's written to be a nasty and unlikable villain, Lila is still a teenager - she wouldn't act this way if there weren't some reasoning for it, most likely in the way she was raised.

It's likely that Lila wants to form actual bonds with others, and get their attention because they actually like her, not the facade that she presents. However, she's become so used to lying and being deceitful in order to do this, that she is unable to form the bonds with others that she actually wants.
