In the world of Miraculous: Tales Of Ladybug And Cat Noir, the titular characters are all about throwing themselves into action against villains. Taking action instead of talking about what to do is a big point in Miraculous Ladybug, as many of the characters also can overthink forming plans and making decisions - especially when they're not in a superhero mask.

Throughout Miraculous Ladybug's four seasons, the audience gets to know a lot of the Miraculous characters as a result of the things they do and the things they don't. As these superheroes face many threats and challenges, sometimes it's a character's actions that speak volumes.

10 Cat Noir Sacrifices Himself For Ladybug

After battling akumatized Parisian citizens together, Ladybug and Cat Noir have developed a deep trust in one another and have a great system for beating the bad guys. Frequently, when the fight gets particularly difficult, Cat Noir doesn't finish it. Instead, he sacrifices himself to the akumatized person, allowing him to be the bait, while Ladybug wins the fight.

This shows that Adrien, as Cat Noir, has complete faith in his crime-fighting partner. He never doubts that she'll come through and save him, and willingly puts himself in harm's way to prove it.

9 Luka Never Gives Up Secret Identities

Marinette, Luka, and Adrien on the run in Miraculous Ladybug S4E18 Wishmaker.

Luka is a man of few words, only making himself vocal when he wants to be heard. Otherwise, he tends to be quieter around his friends, making him an excellent secret keeper.

In multiple timelines, Luka is shown to be one of the few people who learns the identities of both Ladybug and Cat Noir. Thanks to being the holder of the Snake Miraculous, Luka should be the only one who remembers when he reverses time and learns their identities. He never voices the identities of the superheroes to anyone, so Luka can be trusted.

8 Chloe Keeps Sabrina In Her Closet

Chloe shows Zoe Sabrina doing homework in the closet in Miraculous Ladybug

When Chloe's sister Zoe is introduced in Miraculous Ladybug, Chloe gives her sister the tour of her Parisian apartment. Chloe is under the impression that she and Zoe are exactly alike. One of the items she shows Zoe is her oversized closet, which doesn't have clothes in it. Instead, Sabrina sits at a desk in the dark doing Chloe's homework.

While Chloe has been shown to have a heart multiple times, this is a particularly cruel depiction of her. She's not just forcing her best friend to do her homework for her, but she's keeping her locked in her closet to do it. It's hard to see Chloe as a redeemable character when she's doing things like that.

7 Marinette Avoids Luka

After Marinette and Luka attempt to have a romantic relationship, Marinette is too afraid of hurting him and dealing with awkwardness to go back to their previous friendship. Instead of voicing her concerns, she makes this clear to Luka by completely avoiding him.

Marinette hides from him, walks the other way, and does everything she can to not be around him. It's enough to make Luka worried that she no longer likes him as a person, but Marinette is just afraid of making things worse.

6 The Class Joins Mylene's Protest

Mylene and her classmates protest Project Oxygen in Miraculous Ladybug

Mylene is easily the shyest and most environmentally conscious of her classmates. If she raises her voice for something, it means she cares about it. When Mylene and Ivan stage a protest in a park, her classmates wonder why she didn't tell them about it. A montage reveals her classmates ignoring her flyers and announcements.

Her classmates demonstrate that they do care about the environment and about Mylene's concerns by joining her in protesting the park's demolition. They might not have initially heard her, but they stand with her when it counts.

5 Ladybug Gives Adrien The Snake Miraculous

Adrien gives Ladybug a flower while using the snake Miraculous in Miraculous Ladybug

Marinette is the holder of all of the Miraculouses by season 4 (except the ones held by Adrien and Alya). Before that, Master Fu trusted her to choose allies in the fight against Hawkmoth. While Marinette usually makes good decisions concerning the Miraculouses and their Kwamis, she does have one mental block around them and everything else in her life: Adrien.

Adrien isn't the right person for the Snake because he already has Plagg and is Cat Noir, which she is unaware of. When he fails a mission as the Snake Miraculous holder, Marinette stubbornly sticks to her decision and repeatedly gives him the Miraculous. Ignoring Luka, who is a better fit for the Snake, shows how stubborn she is and how much her feelings blind her to the bigger picture.

4 Chloe Saves Sabrina

Chloe is certainly a character of contradictions. Although she treats Sabrina horribly most of the time, like forcing her to do her homework, Chloe also puts herself on the line to protect Sabrina.

Chloe, more than once in Miraculous Ladybug, has stepped between Sabrina and one of Hawkmoth's butterflies or akumatized villains. She even does it when she doesn't have any powers to protect her friend. That's a sure sign that there is a hero inside of Chloe. Even if she has trouble showing it, she does care.

3 Gabriel Never Intentionally Akumatizes Adrien

Art for Miraculous Ladybug depicts Gabriel Agreste and his Hawkmoth persona back to back

Gabriel Agreste doesn't seem to care how much danger he puts the world in. He akumatizes anyone he can in Paris, even children, to lure out Ladybug and Cat Noir. There's only one person he intentionally keeps his creations away from and never sets out to akumatize (in the main timeline) - his son.

Possible futures show Adrien giving up his Miraculous when he finds out the truth about his father and becoming akumatized, but Gabriel never intends to put his son in danger. While he may do a horrible job at parenting Adrien, and his obsession with getting his wife back has overruled his sense of right or wrong, Gabriel does seem to care about Adrien.

2 Nathalie Uses The Damaged Peacock Miraculous

A split image features Nathalie in her civilian wear and her villain costume in Miraculous Ladybug

When the peacock Miraculous is introduced in Miraculous Ladybug, it's heavily damaged. It's implied that using it could cause its holder to die. Nathalie has no fear and uses it to give her boss a helping hand.

Nathalie uses it more than once while it's damaged, proving that she has no regard for her own life as long as she can help Gabriel make his wish to get his wife back. Nathalie's actions demonstrate how much Gabriel means to her.

1 Marinette Gives Alya Her Earrings

A Miraculous holder isn't supposed to let their Kwami or the jewelry that holds their connection to them out of their possession. Marinette has lost her earrings and Tiki a few times in Miraculous Ladybug, but she never intentionally gives them away.

Alya is the only person Marinette tells her secret to. While she doesn't initially trust Alya to keep her Kwami around full time, Marinette realizes that Alya is just as committed to saving the city as she is. When Marinette leaves town with her family, she gives Alya her earrings and Tiki so that Alya can take her place if anything happens. In Marinette's world, that's the ultimate sign of trust.
