In an abrupt change of plans, Fox has cast a second actor to play precog twin Arthur in its adaptation of "Minority Report."

Stark Sands was originally intended to play both Ash and his missing brother, but Entertainment Weekly now reports Nick Zano ("Happy Endings") has been cast as Arthur. So the precogs will be fraternal twins rather than identical (in Steven Spielberg's 2002 sci-fi thriller, they were played by identical twins Michael and Matthew Dickman).

Set in Washington, D.C., a decade after the dismantling of Precrime — the law-enforcement agency tasked with identifying and eliminating criminals, before their crimes were committed — the series follows precog Dash, who’s returned in secret to help police detective Lara Vega (Meagan Good) attempt to stop the murders from his terrifying visions.

Along the way, they also search for Dash’s missing twin Arthur and elude those who will stop at nothing to exploit their abilities. But Dash’s mission is complicated by his reclusive foster sister Agatha (Laura Regan), who only wants him to return home.

Arthur is described, in contrast to his brother, as "confident and self-assured, even Machiavellian in his interaction with the world that once exploited him. So while Dash selflessly and heroically tries to stop the future murders he sees in his precognitive visions, his estranged twin uses his gift to consolidate personal wealth and power in the building of an empire."

"Minority Report" premieres Monday, Sept. 21, at 9 pm. ET/PT on Fox.
