In an interview with Digital Spy, director George Miller discussed the upcoming two follow up films to his blockbuster summer hit "Mad Max: Fury Road" -- and revealed that Charlize Theron's character Imperator Furiosa may not have much screen time, if any at all.

"I'm not sure, is the answer," Miller told Digital Spy. "She's not in the Mad Max [sequel] story, but in one of the stories there's an interaction between [Max and Furiosa]. I can't really say more than that because it's still in progress."

Furiosa stole the show in "Fury Road" and many fans consider the film really about her and her character despite carrying Max's name in the title. That considered, it does make sense she wouldn't appear in the follow ups. Her story had a pretty clear end at the conclusion of that film.

Further on the follow up film, Miller said something really interesting: despite "Fury Road" receiving tons of critical and fan praise for its action and special effects, Miller wants to go a little smaller for the sequel.

"I'm happy to say that there's discussions about them right now, but I hope the next film I make is a very small without any special effects and not many stunts."

Maybe the sequel won't be as literally shiny and chrome as "Fury Road," but if the story and acting remain as incredible, fans will surely be there to witness it.
