Norwalk, CT, February 16, 2006: New York Comic-Con has today announced that the noted model and actress Milla Jovovich will appear at the convention where she will appear publicly for a ticketed autographing session, followed by a short presentation and Q & A. The actress will appear at New York Comic-Con on Saturday, February 25th beginning at 4:15pm. She will be there on behalf of Sony Screen Gems and the release of ULTRAVIOLET, the new film starring Ms. Jovovich in the title role. New York Comic-Con is a new trade and consumer event for comics, games, anime and other related industries and will take place in New York City at the Jacob K. Javits Center, February 24th – 26th. Set in the late 21st century, a subculture of humans has emerged who have been genetically modified, giving them enhanced speed, incredible stamina and acute intelligence. Ms. Jovovich was born in 1975 in Kiev, Soviet Union (now Ukraine). She began modeling at the age of 9 and her screen debut was in Return to the Blue Lagoon in 1991. Some of her other film credits include Dazed and Confused, The Fifth Element, and Resident Evil. Ms. Jovovich has been on the cover of more than one hundred magazines worldwide.
