Milestone Comics is building up to the relaunch of the Milestone Universe at DC by making its classic backlog of comics available on Comixology, Amazon Kindle, Apple and more.

It was announced during DC Fandome that the collected editions of Milestone Comics would be released leading up to the Feb. 2021 relaunch, and the first wave has officially landed. Hardware: The Man in the Machine is available now, written Dwayne McDuffie with art by Denys Cowan and J.J. Birch. This will be followed by Icon: A Hero's Welcome on Oct. 6, written by McDuffie and M.D. Bright with art by Bright, and Icon Vol. 2: The Mothership Connection on Oct. 13, written by McDuffie with art by Bright and Mike Gustovich.

The publisher launched with the first issue of Hardware in Feb. 1993, written by McDuffie with art by Cowan and Jimmy Palmiotti. The series follows Curtis Metcalf, an inventor who builds a powerful suit of armor with a host of weaponry and uses it to fight corruption.

Milestone Media will also see a slew of new projects come next year. In Feb. 2021, there will be a Static Shock digital comic series written by Reginald Hudlin with art by Kyle Baker. Icon & Rocket will also return, written by Hudlin with art by Cowan. It's also been confirmed that a Static Shock movie is currently in development.
