Fantastic Four needs to put a cast together, and fast, if Fox wants the rebooted Marvel Comics film to hit theaters on its targeted March 6, 2015 release date. But perhaps the studio is further along in the process than the public realizes.

Michael B. Jordan is widely considered a lock to play Johnny "The Human Torch" Storm in Fantastic Four, reuniting the red-hot actor with Chronicle director Josh Trank. But what about the other members of Marvel's First Family, like patriarch Reed Richards? Rumored contenders for the role include Miles Teller of The Spectacular Now and Kit Harrington of Game of Thrones — and while Trank debunked the original Teller rumor some weeks ago, the actor's recent comments on the matter sing a different song.

"Uh, you know, I don't know," Teller responded when asked by Fandango about his Fantastic Four connection. "If that happens, if everything works out, then I will be pretty pumped. But then I'll also be working for … it's like seven months out of your year. Which is not a bad problem."

If Teller wasn't involved in Fantastic Four, you would think he'd give a quick and easy "no" in response to the question. The "if everything works out" comment means there's at least some truth to his courtship of Mr. Fantastic. As always, file this one away in the "wait and see" bin.
