A preview for Marvel's Dark Ages #6 reveals what Miles Morales' original Venom symbiote costume looked like before it became infected with Carnage.

In the preview, Miles Morales is sitting around a fire and telling the Marvel Universe characters who rescued him about how he ended up in a Venom/Carnage symbiote suit. Miles says that he first met Venom shortly after the electricity went out in the Dark Ages series. Things worked out for a while, he continues, up until Carnage also attached himself to Miles' suit and things took a turn for the worse. The suit looks relatively similar to Peter Parker's symbiote suit in past Spider-Man runs, though Miles' comes with a hood and some extra white markings.

Marvel's Dark Ages takes place after an evil force called the Unmaker awakens inside Earth and starts destroying the planet. After being warned about the incoming threat by the Watcher, a team of Marvel heroes -- Vision, Scarlet Witch, Doctor Strange, the Invisible Woman and the Thing -- join together and face the Unmaker before it's too late. Doctor Strange unleashes an E.M.P. to stop the Unmaker; however, Strange is killed in the battle and can't stop the E.M.P. from spreading to the entire planet. Earth enters into a dark phase as all machines and electronic equipment completely shut down. In the following years, villains like Apocalypse then begin trying to revive the Unmaker so that the foe can finish what it started.

In Dark Ages #5, a number of the surviving heroes are walking through the woods when they're attacked by Venom and Carnage, who have joined together in a single host. Once the team realizes who they're fighting, they're able to use fire and Storm's lightning to separate the symbiotes from the host, who is then revealed to be Miles. Scared and in shock, Miles tells the group that he's "heard it all" and knows "how Apocalypse is going to end the world."

Miles explains in the Dark Ages #6 preview that the symbiotes agreed to work for Apocalypse in exchange for a spaceship to take them to another planet after the Unmaker is resurrected. Elsewhere in the preview, Wolverine finds himself standing face-to-face with Apocalypse, Killgrave and Cyclops, who the two villains have control over. A mind-controlled Tony Stark is also seen working alongside Apocalypse, Doctor Otto Octavius and others who are working to find a way to bring the Unmaker back to life.
