At the last E3, footage for Insomniac Games’ upcoming Spider-Man game was chock full of action, concluding with the tease of a Miles Morales appearance when it finally arrives. Since then, details on the game have been practically nonexistent, particularly with regards to whether Miles will actually acquire powers of his own and be playable, but a new trailer for the game reveals how the two cross paths. Namely, Peter introduces Miles to his Aunt May, who works at the F.E.A.S.T. shelters in New York.

The new trailer doesn’t highlight Miles too much, but it definitely makes it clear that these two will be tied together thanks to Aunt May and F.E.A.S.T., that they’ve met prior, appear to be around the same age, and have some sort of relationship.

Insomniac has said the game will cover both the hero and normal sides of Peter Parker’s life, something that the trailer showcases. In addition to Miles, there are also scenes of Peter interacting with Mary Jane Watson and Aunt May, along with learning that his apartment has lost power. (He is, naturally, not paying his rent on time.) Unfortunately for him, things only get worse from there, as a new supervillain named Mr. Negative is terrorizing the city with his gang, the Inner Demons. And to make matters worse, that same man is also one Martin Li, esteemed philanthropist and the man behind F.E.A.S.T. Typical Parker luck.

Spider-Man swings onto the PS4 sometime next year.
