Following the expiration of his Marvel contract, Brazilian artist Mike Deodato worked with DC to create a Batman-centric Comic-Con Experience 2019 poster. The poster, colored by Marcelo Maiolo, will honor Batman's 80th anniversary.

After announcing his departure from Marvel earlier this year, Deodato marked the end of his long run as a Marvel exclusive artist with the CCXP poster, which appears below. According to the Metro Journal, Deodato will also appear in Artist Alley for the duration of the festival.

The artist officially wrapped up his 24-year-long run with Marvel after his work on Savage Avengers. Deodato won't bow out of comics, though; he plans to focus on more creator owned work going forward. After major runs on titles such as New Avengers, Thanos and Infinity Wars, Deodato is teaming with Old Man Logan writer Jeff Lemire on Berserker Unbound from Dark Horse.

Marvel fans shouldn't bid Deodato goodbye altogether. According to Newsrama, Deodato plans to continue doing covers for Marvel, although September's Savage Avengers #6 was the artist's final interiors for the publisher.

CCXP 2019 will be held Thursday, Dec 5, 2019 through Sunday, Dec 8, 2019 at the São Paulo Expo.
