Comics industry veteran Mike DeCarlo has launched a GoFundMe campaign for his wife who's now in a coma following a very tragic accident last month.

DeCarlo's wife, Tracy, was left in a coma since the night of March 24 after being struck by a vehicle while walking around her home. The driver had no valid license nor insurance to add to the family's current predicament, leading to the GoFundMe campaign which has a goal of $9,000.

Despite considerable brain trauma, DeCarlo is still hopeful she'll recover. Her other injuries include a fractured pelvis, a broken knee and ligament tears. DeCarlo is aiming to raise funds to bring her from Oregon to Indiana for the rest of her treatment, with costs being racked up by the day.

DeCarlo is famous for working on several DC titles, having inked on the iconic "A Death in the Family" Batman storyline, as well as titles such as Legion of Superheroes. He worked in the '80s, inking for esteemed artists such as George Pérez, Greg LaRocque, Keith Giffen, and Jim Aparo. He also worked on Crisis on Infinite Earths, as well as several Warner Bros. cartoons such as Looney Tunes, Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain. Among his Marvel credits, he has Fantastic Four under his belt.

The entire CBR community offers our thoughts and prayers to the DeCarlo family, and wishes Tracy a speedy recovery. You can contribute to DeCarlo's GoFundMe campaign here.
