Former Luke Cage star Mike Colter's new CBS thriller Evil has been greenlit for Season 2 after debuting in September for a planned 13-episode season.

Starring Colter and Westworld's Katja Herbers, Evil is a modern supernatural thriller in which psychologist Kristen Bouchard and priest-in-training David Acosta investigate unexplained mysteries, miracles, demonic possessions and other unnatural incidents. The series was created by Robert and Michelle King.

"These terrific new series have attracted a passionate base of viewers and consistent ratings while delivering entertaining, inclusive and relevant storytelling every week," CBS Entertainment President Kelly Kahl said in a statement. "They’re off to strong starts and are still being discovered on the many catch-up and playback options available to our viewers today. We’re proud of this freshman class and excited about their potential to tell more great stories and further expand their audiences."

Evil's premiere opened with 4.6 million total viewers.
