Comic book artist Mike Allred is releasing a coloring book adaptation based on his New York Times bestselling graphic novel about David Bowie titled Bowie: Stardust, Rayguns & Moonage Daydreams.

Insight Comics' BOWIE: A Michael Allred Coloring Book features hundreds of colorable pages from the original graphic novel that provided a full-length biography for Bowie's early life and paid homage to his legendary alter ego Ziggy Stardust. Allred's original collaboration with Steve Horton and Laura Allred that brought the biographical graphic novel to fans earlier this year drew inspiration from the aesthetic framework that defined The Thin White Duke's early albums and contextualized the songwriting with Bowie's previously untold backstory.

Since Bowie's untimely death at age 69 that shocked the world a mere two days after the release of his final album Blackstar, the musician's legacy as a groundbreaking icon has more than resonated with the contemporary artists he continues to inspire.

"Every single page is informative and poster worthy," Jimmy Palmiotti said in a statement. "It's more than a tribute, more than a biography; it's a signal straight from outer space beamed to Bowie fans of today, and more importantly, tomorrow," Phillip Hester added.

Insight Comics' BOWIE: A Michael Allred Coloring Book by Mike Allred is scheduled for release on Nov. 17. The coloring book is currently available for pre-order through Amazon.
