A new trailer for Netflix's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always reunion special teases that it's morphin' time again for the series' legacy cast members.

Along with exclusive photos, Entertainment Weekly was the first to share the preview, which features former Power Rangers cast members David Yost, Walter Jones, Catherine Sutherland, Steve Cardenas, Karen Ashley and Johnny Yong Bosch. The upcoming special will showcase the legacy characters in their signature spandex costumes for a scripted celebration of the Power Rangers' enduring legacy. The trailer, as well as EW's exclusive photos, are available below.

The special reunites certain cast members while joining others who have not previously shared the screen. "We're a family of rangers," Jones says in the preview. "So to finally be on a set with them was really interesting." Yost adds that the special is "such a different take on what we've done before, but a lot of the same elements are there."

Returning Faces of the Power Rangers' Original Lineup

Yost (the original Blue Ranger, Billy Cranston) and Jones (original Black Ranger, Zack Taylor) are the only members of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers' original lineup expected to return. Notable for their absence are Austin St. John (original Red Ranger, Jason Lee Scott) and Amy Jo Johnson (original Pink Ranger, Kimberly Hart). Fellow cast members Thuy Trang and Jason David Frank have since passed away, known for their respective roles as the series' first Yellow Ranger, Trini Kwan, and Green Ranger, Tommy Oliver.

Johnson paid tribute to Frank following his sudden passing in November 2022. "Jase, you were beautiful and truly unique. My life just won't be the same without your frenetic, hilarious, caring, driven and creative ball of energy," she wrote on Instagram. "I will always love you, dear friend. Please Rest now In Peace…" Frank died by suicide at the age of 49.

In addition to the reunion special, a new interconnected universe of Power Rangers films and television series is in the works from Jonathan Entwistle, the creator of Netflix's It's the End of the F---ing World and I Am Not Okay with This. News of Entwistle's involvement broke in 2019, though the project did not become official until October 2020. Entwhistle and company have shared little regarding the large-scale project's development since then.

In the meantime, fans can look forward to seeing some familiar faces in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always from director Charlie Haskell and writers Becca Barnes and Alwyn Dale. The special hits Netflix on April 19.
