BOOM! Studios has revealed a first look at Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #40. The issue will debut a brand-new lineup of Rangers, in addition to fan-favorite characters. The issue will also launch the new Necessary Evil event and promises to answer one of the biggest mysteries in Power Rangers history.

Writer Ryan Parrot and artist Daniele di Nicuolo's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #40 will see the Power Rangers back in Angel Grove with the White Ranger as their leader. This will be White Ranger's first appearance in the comic. When the issue picks up, something mysterious has happened to the team and the entire universe after defeating the evil Ranger, Lord Drakkon. The issue promises shocking twists that will change the lineup and future of the team.

The series has gone through multiple incarnations and character rosters since its inception in 1993. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic will usher in yet another new era for the Rangers by shaking up the status quo.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is published by BOOM! Studios under license from Hasbro Inc. Parrot and di Niculo's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #40 goes on sale June 26. It will be published with a foil variant cover, a trading card variant cover and start an 11-part story variant cover series. The story variants, written by Parrott and illustrated by Dan Mor, tell a story of their own and reveal never-before-seen details of the Shattered Grid event.
