In recent years, many animated series from the 1990s have either been rumored or announced to have a reboot heading to the small screen. Veteran voice actor Ron Paulsen threw another 1990s series into the conversation: the action-adventure show Mighty Max.

Paulsen spoke about the animated series while speaking with Den of Geek. The actor was asked about which voice roles he would love to do again. "I did a show years ago that I liked a LOT called Mighty Max," he answered. "That was a really, really excellent show. Tim Curry, Richard Moll, Tony Jay, and yours truly as the main characters. It was dark [and] pretty intense."

Mighty Max originally started as a toy line of mini-worlds and figurines for young kids, similar to Polly Pocket, before being adapted into an animated series. The series ran two seasons from 1993 to 1994 in syndication, with Paulsen voicing the titular character. The popularity of the show and toyline spawned a video game, The Adventures of Mighty Max, along with a comic book series and board games.

Along with Max, Paulsen has voiced characters including Raphael and Donatello from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Spike in The Land Before Time film and television series. He recently returned to Yakko Warner and Pinky in Hulu's Animaniacs reboot.
