Eagle-eyed fans of director Ari Aster's Midsommar have spotted a horrific Easter egg that would undoubtedly demand a rewatch. More so, other fans have revealed there are more like it, which would likely send others scouring through the film once more.

On Twitter, one fan took notice of a face in the forest when Dani (Florence Pugh) is being lifted and honored by the Swedish cult as its May Queen. However, it's not just any ordinary face, as the bushes mimic that of her sister, who died by sticking a tube in her throat and inhaling exhaust from her car in the movie's opening act. This suicide also killed Dani's parents, so Aster is clearly indicating her grief literally followed her on her vacation.

The movie, just like Hereditary, is littered with iconography and symbols hinting at the plot, as well as the fate of Dani and her friends as the Harga cult befriended them with sinister intentions. Other fans said they also spotted faces in windows, rocks, paintings and lush landscapes as Dani traveled from America to Europe to get over the deaths of her family members with her selfish boyfriend Christian (Jack Reynor).

Now that this image seems to confirm the concept of hidden faces, it makes sense to trace more of her journey in detail and spot even more clues as to what would befall the group of anthropology students as they peered into the cult.
