Mid-Ohio-Con's Missing 2004 Program Books

Official Press Release

Mid-Ohio-Con celebrated it's 25th annual show this past Thanksgiving weekend. Thousands of fans gathered to meet over 130 major celebrity guests and shop amongst some of the industry's finest retail vendors and publishers. It was a wonderful weekend. The only thing missing.. the program books.

Due to circumstances beyond the control of the publisher, printer and show, Mid-Ohio-Con's 2004 program books spent the weekend lost in a UPS semi trailer, parked somewhere in Ohio. Because of the missed delivery date, those books will eventually go back to the printer to be destroyed. "Everyone, especially our advertisers, has been very kind in understanding that the missed delivery date was not the fault of the show.", said Thom Zahler, the book's publisher.

"We feel really bad for the fans who were anxiously awaiting the book.", said Roger Price, producer of Mid-Ohio-Con. In trying to find some way to get the books into the hands of as many people as possible, Thom Zahler, came up with an idea. "Although none of us will ever actually have a published copy, I thought why not make the book available on-line.".

While it's a bit late to use the book to plan your day at Mid-Ohio-Con, it's not too late for fans who attended the event (as well as those who wanted to attend) to see what a great book was planned. From the fabulous cover by Adam Hughes, to the guest bios, ads and new small press comics section, it's all available, right now, at: www.ThomZ.com/moc04.

Mid-Ohio-Con will return to the Hilton Columbus at Easton Town Center on November 26 & 27, 2005. Mid-Ohio-Con's program books will return to their original, intended form in 2005, as well.
