Former First Lady of the Michelle Obama has released her own review of director Ryan Coogler's Black Panther, saying, "I loved this movie.""Congrats to the entire Black Panther team," she wrote this afternoon on Twitter. "Because of you, young people will finally see superheroes that look like them on the big screen. I loved this movie and I know it will inspire people of all backgrounds to dig deep and find the courage to be heroes of their own stories."

Since leaving the White House last year, Obama has continued to address issues of gender disparity and diversity in politics and technology while also advocating a variety of social justice-related causes.

Marvel's Black Panther has been a huge financial and critical success. The movie has already broken several box-office records and is expected to earn $218 million domestically over its four-day opening weekend. Black Panther is "certified fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes with a rating of 97 percent.

Jordan as Erik Killmonger, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Daniel Kaluuya as W’Kabi, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue, Winston Duke as M’Baku and Forest Whitaker as Zuri.
