2015's "Ant-Man" may have been a solo hero film, but it featured a solid supporting ensemble for Paul Rudd's size-changing hero. That cast included Evangeline Lilly's Hope Van Dyne and Michael Douglas' Hank Pym, two characters that we know are returning for the 2018 sequel "Ant-Man and the Wasp." The supporting cast also included Michael Peña's Luis, a fellow ex-con and pal of Rudd's Scott Lang, who provided plenty of laugh lines in "Ant-Man" and became a bit of a fan favorite character. Whether or not Luis is returning for "Ant-Man and the Wasp," however, remains unknown.

In an interview with Collider, Peña revealed that he has not been contacted about the sequel, which is expected to shoot this summer.

“No, no, I haven’t gotten the phone call yet” said Peña. “I don’t know if I’m gonna get the phone call. Who knows?” The actor did sign a three-film deal with Marvel, so he knows he's contracted for at least two more appearances -- if Marvel chooses to exercise that contract. Because of that, he says, “I don’t think they have to call you at all. They could just say that he’s free to go and he can do any movie that he wants at this period of time. I don’t really know what’s going on with that. There’s always possibilities that you’re not going to be in that movie. You just prepare yourself for that.”

Premiering in theaters July 6, 2018, “Ant-Man and the Wasp” is a production of Marvel Studios directed by Peyton Reed and starring Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas.
