Former "Batman" star Michael Keaton is attached to both produce and star in a film adaptation of writer Brian Joines and artist Bachan's "Imagine Agents," which follows an organization called I.M.A.G.I.N.E. that deals with the unruly imaginary friends created by children.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Keaton will produce the film alongside BOOM! Studios' Ross Richie and Anonymous Content's Michael Sugar for 20th Century Fox. BOOM!'s Stephen Christy and Anonymous Content's Ashley Zalta as set to executive produce; BOOM! Senior Vice President of Film Adam Yoelin will co-produce.

In the original comic series, published by Boom! Studios in 2013, longtime I.M.A.G.I.N.E. agent Dave Slatern oversees the training of a new recruit, Terry Snowgoose, only for what seems to be a routine assignment turn into something entirely different.

Fox, which recently closed the rights deal, is currently seeking writers for the project. The studio has other creator-owned comics projects in the pipeline as well, including Shannon Watters, Noelle Stevenson, Grace Ellis and Brooke Allen's "Lumberjanes," which is also published by Boom! Studios.
