Original Batman star Michael Keaton may be suiting back up for multiple DCEU films following his return in The Flash.

The Hollywood Reporter announced that Keaton is in talks to return as Batman for the upcoming Flash solo film. According to the developing story, the deal would involve Keaton appearing in several DC films, acting in a similar fashion to Nick Fury by tying various projects together.

As the Flashpoint story in the comics involves parallel timelines and alternate versions of heroes and villains, the movie will bring back the Caped Crusader seen in Batman and Batman Returns. In this way, it would mirror the CW's recent "Crisis on Infinite Earths," which itself included a Batman alumnus in voice actor Kevin Conroy. It also included an appearance by Ezra Miller's Flash.

This news follows a report that Jeffery Dean Morgan will reprise his role as Thomas Wayne in The Flash, only this time, he'll be playing the violent version who takes on the mantle of Batman himself in the Flashpoint timeline. With Keaton's potential involvement, it seems the film will be taking inspiration not just from the comics but the recent Arrowverse crossover that included numerous cameos from across DC film and television.
