A new report suggests that Michael Keaton's Bruce Wayne / Batman will own a blue Batsuit in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) film The Flash.

The report comes from KC Walsh, whose source claims that Keaton's Caped Crusader keeps his classic costume in his closet. However, he could not confirm if he will actually don that version of the Batsuit when the movie hits theaters.

The report matches up with footage of The Flash that was shown at this past year's CinemaCon, which featured a scene in the Batcave that showcases multiple Batsuits for the Dark Knight. However, the footage also did not reveal if the suits will play a larger role in the story or just serve as Easter eggs.

For now, DC and Warner Bros. Discovery are keeping their cards close to their chests and have only revealed a look at Keaton in his classic Batsuit from 1989's Batman. What role Keaton's Batman will play in the film remains under wraps, but reports indicate that he will appear in multiple DCEU projects and serve as the shared universe's Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). While it is unclear if Keaton will become the Nick Fury of the DCEU, he will reprise his role of Batman after The Flash in Batgirl.

Keaton won't be the only Dark Knight to appear in The Flash. Ben Affleck, the original DCEU Batman from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad and Justice League, is set to make one final appearance as the hero in the Scarlet Speedster's solo movie. The role will be small, and he may not appear on screen for more than 20 minutes. But Affleck himself said that his "favorite scenes in terms of Batman and the interpretation of Batman that I have done" take place in The Flash. "I hope they maintain the integrity of what we did because I thought it was great and really interesting—different, but not in a way that is incongruent with the character," he added. "Who knows? Maybe they will decide that it doesn't work, but when I went and did it, it was really fun and really, really satisfying and encouraging and I thought, 'Wow—I think I have finally figured it out.'"

The Flash is set to debut in theaters on June 23, 2023. However, lead star Ezra Miller has been accused of grooming and is avoiding law enforcement, adding another chapter to the film's long and troubled production. Regardless of whether The Flash ends up playing in theaters or not, Warner Bros. Discovery reportedly has no plans to work with Miller in the future, including any The Flash sequels.
