While he has moved on to other roles in his career, many DC fans still remember Michael Keaton for playing the Dark Knight in Tim Burton's film adaptations of Batman in 1989's Batman and 1992's Batman Returns. For a visit to Saturday Night Live, Keaton revisited his superhero roots in a skit with him playing WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange. In a clip from last night's opening skit, Assange tells his fellow prison inmates (Kenan Thompson, Chris Redd, Kate McKinnon, Kyle Mooneey, and Pete Davidson) how he wound up in the big house. Assange brags to the others about just how bad he is, even calling himself a James Bond villain and that he's one step away from blowing up the moon, which doesn't exactly bode well for his mental stability.RELATED: Why the Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman is Still Batman's Best Movie Villain

The clip then ends with Keaton quoting the line, “You wanna get nuts? C’mon. Let’s get nuts,” one of his iconic lines from Batman.

In the film, the Joker (Jack Nicholson) appears at the apartment of Vicki Vale (Kim Basinger) just as Bruce Wayne (Keaton) is about to confess his identity as Batman to her. Bruce says the line to the Joker in a fake challenge before the Clown Prince of Crime shoots him, not knowing Bruce had a folded serving tray under his shirt for protection.

Though other actors have taken up the cape and cowl since Batman Forever, Michael Keaton's performance in the skit shows that he can still channel the same energy he had 30 years ago, while also reminding fans of the beloved film.
