The first trailer has arrived for "Slow West," the Western comedy-thriller starring Michael Fassbender and Kodi Smit-McPhee.

The feature directorial debut of John Maclean, the film stars Smit-McPhee as 16-year-old Jay Cavendish, who journeys across the American frontier in search of the women he loves. He's joined by the mysterious traveler Silas (Fassbender) as they're both pursued by an outlaw.

"Slow West" premiered in January at the Sundance Film Festival to rave reviews, and was awarded the Sundance Institute's World Cinema Jury Prize: Dramatic Winner.

The film will debut April 16 on DirecTV, and May 15 in select theaters and On Demand.
