Michael B. Jordan (Black Panther, Just Mercy) stands tall as Adonis "Donnie" Creed in the first official poster for Creed III, which is set to release in theaters later this year.

As reported exclusively by Collider, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer had the first promo poster for Creed III on display on the show floor at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas. The poster features a black-and-white image of Jordan's Donnie Creed -- who is clearly in fighting shape -- looking towards the camera and crossing his arms. He is accompanied by the film's title, November 2022 release window and a massive MGM logo.

The third entry in the Jordan-led Rocky spinoff series, Creed III is currently scheduled for release on Wednesday, Nov. 23. In addition to reprising his role as Donnie Creed, Jordan makes his feature directorial debut with the film, which is written by Keenan Coogler (Space Jam: A New Legacy) and Zach Baylin (King Richard) from a story by Ryan Coogler (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever). That said, specifics regarding Creed III's plot are still scarce.

Of course, Jordan isn't the only Creed series star returning for the upcoming threequel. The film sees Tessa Thompson (Thor: Love and Thunder), Phylicia Rashad (Soul), Wood Harris (Empire) and Florian Munteanu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) reprise their roles as Bianca Taylor, Mary Anne Creed, Tony "Little Duke" Evers and Viktor Drago, respectively. The film also features a major (no pun intended) newcomer in the form of Jonathan Majors (Lovecraft Country, Loki), who plays a character named Anderson Dame. Creed III is the first film in the Rocky franchise to not feature Sylvester Stallone as Robert "Rocky" Balboa, though Stallone is still attached to the project as a producer.

Jordan first portrayed Adonis Creed in the 2015 film Creed, directed and co-written by Ryan Coogler. The seventh installment in the overall Rocky franchise, Creed follows Adonis -- the illegitimate son of Rocky Balboa's late friend and former rival Apollo Creed -- as he makes his own name as a boxer while coming to grips with the legacy of his father. Jordan reprised the role for 2018's Creed II, in which Adonis challenges Viktor Drago, the son of Rocky's one-time nemesis Ivan Drago, who killed Apollo in the ring in 1985's Rocky IV.

Directed by and starring Michael B. Jordan, Creed III punches its way into theaters on Nov. 23.
