10 Curiosity Killed The Journalist

Anime My Hero Academia Villain Curious

Aptly nicknamed "Curious," Chitose Kizuki was one of the most prominent members of the Meta Liberation Army. As a journalist, she was driven to write intriguing stories to captivate the audience. Chitose was driven to get the scoop on whatever matter she became obsessively curious about.

Her quirk allowed her to turn anything she touched into an explosive that could be detonated as she pleased. She would often utilize this to harass whoever she wanted to interrogate for a piece. Though she had questionable methods, it would have been interesting to see what could have happened in the story if she had gained the power to manipulate the media on a massive scale. Unfortunately, Chitose's curiosity led to her demise, so her time in the series was cut short.

9 Ena & Dio Were A Pair That Could Beat Any Full House

The Serpenter twins in My Hero Academia, World Heroes Mission.

Ena and Dio were a villain duo who appeared in the series' most recent movie, World Heroes Mission. Together, they go under the alias of "Serpenters." After they teamed up against Katsuki, the two were imprisoned by the movie's end. However, they were pretty entertaining during their fight.

The twins' quirk was Sword Kill, which allowed the two to create flexible swords that extend from their arms. When the twins took the quirk-enhancing drug, Trigger, they were practically unstoppable. Though this duo is exclusive to the movie, they were undeniably two of the most formidable villains in the entire series.

8 Geten Had An Interesting Philosophy

greten from mha fighting

Geten was one of the most loyal soldiers to the Meta Liberation Army. He was enamored by Re-Destro's charisma and felt indebted to him. However, that isn't what makes Geten so fascinating. He has quite an interesting philosophy on quirks.

While many others in the world of My Hero Academia aspire to become heroes with their quirk, Geten never had such aspirations. He trained his Ice Manipulation quirk on his own time because he believes that the strength of somebody's power is the only testament to their worth in this world. Geten's pursuit of power is his true passion, and he beats himself up when he loses or if a battle ends in a tie.

7 Nine's Vision For The World Was Fascinating

Nine wearing his mask

If Nine didn't choose the path of villainy, he could have been a voice of reason for society. Unfortunately, Nine became one of the series' most formidable villains because of his volatile temperament and unpredictable rage. Nine was only featured in the series' second movie, Heroes: Rising. However, his vision for the world is quite thought-provoking.

Nine believed that heroes and villains should be irrelevant in a society of superpowers, as the hierarchy is determined by strength. With this philosophy, he justified numerous experiments on his own body to become the ultimate lifeform. It's also worth noting that Nine's vision for the world was not self-centered. His goal was to create a world without oppression for his three teammates.

6 Mustard's Quirk & Design Had So Much More Potential

While dispersing a sleep-inducing gas isn't the most potent or unique quirk in the series, Mustard was still an intriguing character. His only appearance was during the Forest Training Camp arc, but he left quite an impression on fans.

His design was intriguing, and the way he utilized his rather lackluster quirk made him a dangerous opponent. Mustard's quirk isn't the strongest, but it's certainly a pain for heroes to deal with. After dispersing the gas into the atmosphere, he can decipher any movement inside the gas by getting a feel for how it's moving in the air.

5 Kaina Tsutsumi Captivated Fans

Kaina Tsutsumi from My Hero Academia aiming her rifle.

While anime-only fans will have no idea who Kaina is, those who read the manga were intrigued by this Tartarus escapee from her first cameo. She has quite an intriguing backstory, as she used to be a pro-hero before choosing the path of villainhood. She became a villain after becoming jaded to the state of hero society.

She was horrified by the realization that heroes are universally admired by children, who remain unaware of the true bloodshed behind the scenes. Though Kaina was swiftly arrested again, fans were captivated by her and intrigued by her philosophies. Every now and then, the villains of My Hero Academia can be pretty insightful.

4 Rappa Was An Honorable Fighter

Kendo Rappa gritting his teeth in My Hero Academia.

As one of the Eight Bullets of Shie Hassaikai, Rappa served Overhaul. However, he did it with the sole purpose of one day defeating him. Rappa certainly didn't stand much of a chance against Overhaul, but he was an honorable warrior with a solid judge of character.

He didn't make much of a comeback in the main story, but he was featured in the Underground Masquerade in Vigilantes. Regardless, fans hope to see more of Rappa before the series ends.

3 Magne Never Quite Had Her Moment To Shine

Magne conjures electricity in My Hero Academia.

Magne could have been one of the League's strongest fighters. She briefly showed her close-range combat skills off during the Forest Training arc, but Magne never got a good fight scene after that.

Her quirk, Magnetism, can attract men and women by opposite poles. This quirk even functions with immense distance. The quirk could have been one of the most versatile in the series, but unfortunately, Magne was killed by Overhaul before she could shine or live up to her potential.

2 Spinner Deserves A Bit More Appreciation

My Hero Academia: Spinner Faces His Most Important Decision Yet

Spinner represents a group of individuals in the world of My Hero Academia who surely experience lots of ridicule: heteromorphs. Additionally, he's not crazed for destruction like some of his colleagues. He joined the League because he was a sympathizer of Stain's. Stain empowered Spinner when he felt like a social pariah due to the ridicule and ostracization he faced because of his mutant quirk.

After the Paranormal Liberation War, he became a figure similar to Stain. He rallied other heteromorphs and empowered them. Though he's certainly a recurring figure, fans wouldn't mind more of the spotlight being on Spinner. He might even be the most level-headed member of the League.

1 Stain Could Have Played A Much Bigger Role In The Series

Stain frowns in MHA

Though he was one of the many prisoners who escaped Taratus, fans still wish they saw more of Stain overall. He's arguably among the top five most well-written villains in My Hero Academia, and he certainly could have played a more prominent role in the series.

Though he did have a significant role in Vigilantes, Stain's impact in the main story should have been much more prominent. After escaping Taratus, he told All Might his thoughts, but not much else has been seen of Stain since. Stain's conviction knows no bounds, and his ideology, in retrospect, wasn't all that radical. Stain believes in true justice and refuses to become subordinate to other villains like All For One.
