The following contains spoilers for My Hero Academia Season 6, Episode 2, "Mirko, the No. 5 Hero," now streaming on Crunchyroll, Funimation and Hulu.

The professional heroes in My Hero Academia are not ranked on their strengths or Quirks alone. Their contribution to society, the number of cases solved and overall popularity are also taken into consideration. However, the top heroes are in no way weak; they have their own strengths and can easily hold their ground in a fight. But with the anime predominantly focusing on Class 1-A, most of these top heroes don't get much screen time.

Mirko, the Rabbit Hero, currently holds the title of #5 Pro Hero. Even so, she hasn't received much screen time in My Hero Academia. Debuting during the Hero Billboard Chart JP event, Mirko makes a brief speech warning villains trying to rise up. Her next few appearances were nothing to take note of, but she finally gets her chance to shine in Season 6.

The Rabbit Hero Mirko Infiltrates Dr. Garaki's Secret Laboratory

Mirko fights Nomu in My Hero Academia

Though Endeavor and the others launched their attack on the Paranormal Liberation Front, they didn't go on full offensive just yet. A good number of heroes went for the civilians and innocents, evacuating them to minimize unnecessary casualties in the upcoming fight. There was, however, one hero tasked to head deep into enemy territory: Mirko. She alone breezed past the hospital's premises, heading to its deepest parts. She was the first to meet the countless Nomus Dr. Garaki unleashed and subsequently warned Endeavor about their surfacing.

Mirko blasted through the Nomus and eventually ended up at a big laboratory of sorts, where she found the infamous Dr. Garaki. The laboratory was filled with vats containing various experiments. Seeing these vats, Mirko started razing them and relayed her findings to the others, receiving an order to arrest the doctor. With no further delays, Mirko jumped into action and went straight for the doctor. She wanted to give him a good kick to confirm whether he was the real one or another clone, regardless of the doctor's confession. But before she could do so, a loyal little Nomu got in her way.

Mirko Bravely Faces Four High-End Nomus But Is Injured

High-End Nomus in My Hero Academia

Mocha's interruption allowed Dr. Garaki to unleash his masterpieces: the High-End Nomus. Five of them were released from their vats, and they all seemed to hate heroes. Crust came to the rescue just in time, but one of the Nomus recognized and attacked the No. 6 Hero, marking him as its target while the other four High-Ends were left to Mirko. She located Dr. Garaki, then hopped back into action hoping to immediately catch up to him. However, the Nomus blocked her.

Failing to continue her pursuit, Mirko was forced to face the monsters. She dodged and counterattacked the High-End Nomus' attacks but was eventually caught by the range attacker's Quirk. The space around her left arm twisted, effectively mangling it, but she bit through the pain and launched herself toward her attacker. Easily dodging the Nomu's lasers, Mirko decapitated it and slammed its head to the ground. With one High-End Nomu eliminated, three more remained.

Mirko's fight against the High-End Nomus is nothing short of spectacular. It shows the No. 5 Hero's strengths while also highlighting her grit and dedication. Mirko taking on four incredibly powerful enemies without any backup and gritting through getting her arm mangled is proof of how tough she is. Despite being unable to use one arm, she is still raring to go. Though if backup does not arrive fast enough, Mirko may continue to have the spotlight in the next few episodes of My Hero Academia.
