After All Might's retirement, Endeavor became the new Symbol of Peace and the strongest pro in the My Hero Academia series. His coronation was a palpable change in tone for Japanese society and the U.A students who had personally interacted with both heroes.

Like any well-written character, Enji has many strengths and weaknesses that distinguish him as an original and compelling entity. Through analyzing his greatest assets and juxtaposing them against his most crippling flaws, fans can approximate whether or not he deserves the new station that has been hefted on his shoulders as the cornerstone of societal stability.

10 Weakness: He Isn't Charismatic No Matter How Hard He Tries

When Endeavor asked All Might how to assume the number one hero's mantle adequately, Toshinori responded by saying that he should comfort the innocent in more ways than simply fighting villainy. As a result, he attempted to turn over a new leaf and present himself as a kinder person than many knew him.

Ironically, this put off many of his fans, citing that they liked the "old" Endeavor much more for his grittiness and abrasion. This illustrates how out of touch Enji is in connecting with other people.

9 Strength: He Possesses Enormous Firepower

Endeavor wields much more raw firepower than any other character in the series, eclipsing Dabi, Todoroki, and even Bakugo in raw explosive potential. It is a tremendous asset that serves him well in battle, particularly against the many resilient nomu that the League of Villains unleashes.

During High-End's attack on the city, his "Hell Spider" technique cleaved through entire skyscrapers in seconds (after Hawks had evacuated them). His quirk was so potent that he managed to disintegrate the advanced monstrosity on a molecular level.

8 Weakness: His Body Is Prone To Overheating

One weakness that quickly became evident was that Endeavor's body was vulnerable to overheating if he employs his quirk too liberally. This was a threat that exacerbated the longer he attempted to draw out his battle against High-End—especially since he attempted to take him alive at first.

His limitation was so staggering that he feared he would never become the Symbol of Peace due to it. As a result, he assiduously pursued a woman with an ice quirk so that their child would surpass his wildest dreams. In this regard, his mission was a success.

7 Strength: He Has Unusually High Durability

Endeavor's durability is unusually high even though Hellflame does not enhance his body in any conceivable way. He can endure many injures that would have left other heroes despondent, including having much of his face marred and his body skewered by spear-like appendages.

Further, even after prolonged usage of his power and despite suffering from profuse blood loss, he was still able to stand on both feet and raise a fist that inspired all Japanese society.

6 Weakness: The Guilt He Feels For His Past

Endeavor may have attempted to move on from his past, but the actions he has taken have crushed him with guilt. He desperately attempts to redefine himself and alter how he is perceived both professionally and by his own family.

Though this gives him enormous drive, the wounds he inflicted on his loved ones—specifically, Todoroki—have yet to heal. Regardless of his heroics, Shoto will remain scarred for the rest of his life—a fact that Enji knows all too well.

5 Strength: Introspection

Despite his stubborn mannerisms, Endeavor's introspection is an excellent example of his maturity and ability to grow as a person. No one prompted his decision to seek out All Might and request his advice—instead, he sacrificed his pride and humbled himself to become the best Symbol of Peace he could.

Moreover, he would also learn from observing Bakugo, Todoroki, and the other failed Provisional Licensing students about the creative ways they managed delinquent children. It would assist him in his own fractured relationships with his family.

4 Weakness: He Has Low Temper And Self Control

Endeavor's low self-control has manifested on numerous occasions throughout different points in the series. It was most prominently observed through the Sports Festival arc, where he raced to the railing and screamed Todoroki's name in the midst of his battle against Deku - all because he broke his oath not to use the fiery half of his quirk.

In this regard, he is indulging his son's pettiness and matching it with his own. It was also seen through the rage he expressed at Hawks after the hero ranking ceremony and his constituent's unprofessional demeanor.

3 Strength: He Is Tenacious And Persevering

The task that Endeavor had assigned himself was no meager feat; his goal was to surpass All Might as the number one hero despite the stockpiled power of One For All.

As implausible as this expectation might have seemed and as arduously as he struggled to achieve his goals, he never gave up on his dream. In this regard, he set a sterling example for U.A students and anyone else that doggedly attempts to improve themselves.

2 Weakness: His Goal Led To Jealousy

As admirable as Enji's objective might have been, it had a palpable dark side. His inability to surpass All Might would consume him to such a morbid extent that his heroics no longer became about saving others or even making money—instead, he wanted supremacy.

This would manifest in his relationship with Toshinori himself. In the anime's earlier arcs, he dismissed his gallant constituent, regarding him with animosity and contempt whenever their paths crossed.

1 Strength: He's Courageous In Any Situation

Endeavor has all of the valiance and courage necessary to be a hero. When the nomu were first unleashed on Kamino, he sprung into action, apprehending the monsters without waiting for further assistance despite having little knowledge of their capacities.

As foolish as this might seem, it optimized the innocent lives he managed to save and was a profound example of his combat alacrity. His qualities were proven repeatedly when fighting the fiends that the League of Villains unleashed, even as they became progressively stronger and more difficult to destroy.
