The following contains spoilers for My Hero Academia Chapter 361, "Abnormal Happenings" by Horikoshi Kohei, Caleb Cook and John Hunt, available now in English from Viz Media.

Out of all the UA students in My Hero Academia, Tamaki Amajiki is one of the elite three who stood out from the rest in terms of power. However, his social anxiety and low self-confidence often leads to a rather weaker perception from those around him. His friends, Mirio Togata and Nejire Hado, have always been the closest people to him and know the true extent of his Manifest Quirk -- but in Chapter 361, Amajiki finally reveals to the world why he was christened Suneater.

Amajiki's Quirk is known as Manifest. After eating any material, he is able to indefinitely manifest characteristics or traits of the host animal or substance from his body. In theory, Amajiki could increase his mass as much as he wishes, as long as he's still got some amount of the material he's attempting to manifest in his system. To ensure he's able to use his Quirk optimally, Amajiki's diet is filled with ingredients that can allow him to manifest desirable traits.

Even though the Pro-Heroes made the decision to trap themselves within UA's boundaries with Shigaraki, the unprecedented raw power of his Simple Growth meant that strategy was coming back to bite them. He easily tore through the initial force of Pro-Heroes who faced him, and would have murdered Bakugo Katsuki had the Big Three not intervened to save the student hero. After that rescue operation, Nejire Hado, Tamaki Amajiki and Mirio Togata resolved to prevent Shigaraki from harming anyone else until Deku arrived.

They began their assault on Shigaraki with a combo attack that the villain easily shrugged off. In fact, none of their practiced super moves had any effect until Mirio declared that Shigaraki was friendless, prompting the startling, brief reappearance of Shimura Tenko. This guerrilla tactic worked wonders however, as it gave Amajiki enough time to manifest the ultimate form of his Vast Hybrid: Chimera Kraken Super Move.

Suneater transforming into the Ultimate Vast Hybrid

As Amajiki completed his transformation, Mirio attempted to keep Shigaraki distracted but with little success. Nejire's Surge blasts were slightly more effective, but even she was overwhelmed by Shigaraki's constantly adapting body. The Big Three's situation was precarious, but everything was still going according to their plan of distracting the villain to buy enough time for Amajiki to finish his transformation.

With both Mirio and Nejire putting their lives on the line for him, Amajiki couldn't afford to disappoint. Using his most intricate combination of several plant and animal species -- as well as the very special ingredient of Nejire's energy -- Amajiki manifested a giant cannon attachment to his arm that seemed to be charging up for a devastating attack against Shigaraki. Mirio was confident that it'd be able to deal considerable damage in a single hit; its potency remains to be seen in the next chapter of MHA but unless it packs a punch at least as powerful as Bakugo's Howitzer Impact, it'll be ineffective.
