8 Megumi Beat Up The Bullies In Middle School

Megumi from Jujutsu Kaisen after beating up all of the bullies in Junior High.

When the main trio visited Megumi's old middle school, Nobara and Yuji were shocked by a group of punks because of their reaction to Megumi. Little to their knowledge, Megumi had a reputation for beating up nearly all of the delinquents and bullies in the area.

After Megumi passed out from exhaustion, he recalled memories of middle school. He remembered how he would beat the bullies up and warned them that one of the fundamentals of human interaction is that one should never violate someone else's dignity. After beating them up, Megumi sat on a pile of their unconscious bodies.

7 Megumi Restrained Aoi During Their Confrontation

Megumi versus Todo (Jujutsu Kaisen)

After disappointing Aoi with how he answered his question, the two started fighting. The fight went on for quite some time, and it turned into an all-out brawl between the two sorcerers. Eventually, Megumi combined two of his Shikigami, Nue and a Toad, to create The Well's Unknown Abyss.

Though Aoi continued to pummel and insult Megumi, he eventually got restrained by the Nue-Toads after getting wrapped up by their tongues. After that, Megumi was ready to lay all of his techniques on the table, but Toge and Panda stopped them before anything else could happen.

6 Megumi Unleashed Divine Dog: Totality Against Hanami

Fushiguro's Black Divine Dog inherits his white Divine Dog's power

Divine Dog: Totality was unleashed when Megumi and Maki went up against Hanami at the Goodwill Event. When one of Megumi's shikigami is destroyed, its energy goes to another shikigami. Since his white Divine Dog was destroyed earlier in the series, its power was passed over to the black Divine Dog.

When Totality is unleashed, the black Divine Dog becomes less of a friendly canine and more of a werewolf. It's one of Megumi's strongest shinigami, and it's capable of defeating curses in a sneak attack, such as when it chewed through Hanami's arm.

5 Megumi Saved Nobara With His Toad

Megumi's toad saves Nobara in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Megumi's toad shikigami saved Nobara after she fell into a black puddle Domain because of cursed spirits. When one of the curses grabbed Nobara and threatened to consume her, Megumi's Great Snake defeated it. Then, the toad's tongue saved Nobara from falling.

The toad then situated Nobara in its mouth to protect her. As soon as it happened, Nobara didn't look pleased in the slightest. Though Nobara complained about hating frogs, Megumi said, "Too bad" and swiftly escaped the detention center.

4 Megumi Asserted His Philosophy About Jujutsu Sorcery

After the detention center mission, Yuji lost control of his body to Sukuna. As a result, Megumi tried fighting Sukuna to help Yuji regain control. Even though Megumi was instantly overpowered in the battle, he was determined to save Yuji, whose body was held hostage by the King of Curses.

He asserted that his job as a jujutsu sorcerer is to save people—even if it isn't necessarily the most lawful action. After Yuji regained control, Megumi said he had no regrets about saving him, even though it wasn't the right thing to do, according to jujutsu laws. One of Megumi's most pivotal quotes was when he stated that he isn't a hero, deducing all his actions down to pure selfishness.

3 Megumi Summoned The Max Elephant

Megumi unleashes the Max Elephant in Jujutsu Kaisen.

During his fight against Kamo Noritoshi during the Goodwill Event, Megumi unleashed a brand-new shikigami from his Ten Shadows technique: the Max Elephant. Just as Kamo prepared an attack, the elephant flooded the hallway with enough water to force him outside because of the pressure.

Though it requires a massive amount of cursed energy to be summoned, the Max Elephant is an impressive shikigami that instantly overwhelms its opponent. When Megumi unleashed it against Awasaka, he summoned it in the air and forced it to crash down on him.

2 Megumi Summoned The Powerful Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga

Mahoraga's Positive Energy Sword of Extermination

Though its name is quite the mouthful, it's the most potent shikigami in Megumi's arsenal. Not a single inheritor of the Ten Shadows technique has been able to get a handle on this monster. Before Megumi used it, he thought twice about the implications of allowing such a shikigami to roam freely.

However, he was gravely injured during the Shibuya event because of Haruta, so he had no other option. Since this shikigami cannot be tamed, Megumi only used it as a last resort. In fact, had Sukuna not shown up, Mahoraga would have gone on a rampage. However, its summoning proved that Megumi possesses an impressive amount of cursed energy, foreshadowing his absolute potential as a sorcerer.

1 Megumi's Activation Of Domain Expansion: Chimera Shadow Garden Was A Pivotal Moment That Proved His Growth As A Character

After Megumi fell unconscious after fighting the Finger Bearer, he remembered training with Satoru. During his training, Satoru suggested that, instead of playing it safe all the time, Megumi should let loose. When Megumi restrains his ability for the sake of others, there's no way he'd grow as a sorcerer.

Once he woke back up, Megumi donned a wicked grin after picturing himself going beyond his perceived limitations. Cackling, he looked at the cursed spirit and yelled, "Here we go!" Then, he activated his Domain Expansion: Chimera Shadow Garden. Even though he realized it was incomplete, Megumi kept laughing because it was still enough to defeat the curse. After swiftly defeating the curse, Megumi was exhausted. However, this fight was a pivotal moment for Megumi. He improved his Ten Shadows Cursed technique and displayed immense character growth.
