Megatron Goes Medieval in New "Transformers: The Last Knight" Art

After rolling out new designs this week for classic characters ranging from Hot Rod and Drift to Crosshairs and Barricade, "Transformers: The Last Knight" has called in the big guns, literally: Megatron in his new robot form.

Perhaps in keeping with the film's title, the Decepticon leader resembles the armor of a medieval knight, and wields a fierce-looking sword/battle ax as well as a "shield" that doubles as what's undoubtedly a highly destructive gun.

The 30-foot robot in disguise is characterized as "ruthless Decepticon oppressor" who seeks "peace through tyranny." That sounds about right.

Directed by Michael Bay, “Transformers: The Last Knight” stars Mark Wahlberg, Isabela Moner, Jerrod Carmichael, Josh Duhamel and Anthony Hopkins. It opens stars June 23, 2017.
