Megan Fox is heading to "New Girl" for a multi-episode arc.

The "Transformers" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" actress will fill in for star Zooey Deschanel while she's on maternity leave from the Fox comedy.

Fox will play a straight-shooting pharmaceutical sales rep who breezes into town and rents out Jess' room while she's sequestered on jury duty. Fox will debut in the sixth episode of the season, which kicks off in January.

"We had Megan in mind when we wrote this part," executive producer Liz Meriwether said in a statement. "She's the perfect person to come in and shake these guys up."
