Due to that massive fan following that Mega Man continues to have, there are quite a few wonderful pieces of fan art featuring the classic character. Some of these pieces try to capture his essence from the games, while others try to update his look. Here are ten pieces of Mega Man fan art that we adore.

10 30th Anniversary

The 30th-anniversary of this amazing character was definitely something to celebrate. It's not too often that video game players are blessed with such an awesome and creative character, not to mention all of the wonderfully addictive video games that exist within his franchise.

An artist on the internet known as Lv01Kokuen created this lovely bit of fan art in celebration of the character's ongoing history. Featured within are a bevy of Mega Man characters from across the years. If you look closely, you can even see that several different versions of Mega Man are also included in the crowd.

9 Authentic

Hamosart created this fan art as his ode to the character. Some official designs of Mega Man have him being a little rougher, while others make the video game protagonist a tad bit cutesier. Hamosart definitely went the cutesier route.

Also, in hopes of making the character a little more authentic, Hamosart decided to make him Asian. Since the character was created in Japan, this move simply makes all the sense in the world.

8 Slightly Sinister

In this bit of fan art, Mega Man and his allies are looking a little bit more sinister than any fan might expect. In the background, we also get to see many of Mega Man's enemies looking a bit scared and/or worried about what might be happening next. Or, perhaps Mega Man had just finished taking them down.

Either way, Zachary Sterling, also known as ZacharyxBinks, gave us a completely unique look at the decades-old character. In this picture, it looks like Mega Man could not be more excited to take on his large roster of enemies.

7 Mega Man Through The Years

Tron Bonne Art gave us another beautiful piece of fan art in celebration of the character's 30th-anniversary. This one is much more simple than the aforementioned 30th-anniversary fan art. Yet, in some ways, it is even better.

Instead of bogging down the picture with the long list of supporting characters that Mega Man has had over the years, this fan art instead showcases the many different versions of Mega Man standing side by side. Any hardcore fan that has been following the character through all these changes is sure to be pleased with this celebratory fan art.

6 Robots Attack!

Mega Man isn't the only robot warrior of his kind. He has also had to throw down with many other killer robots in his day. Throughout all of the games of the franchise, one of the great joys of Mega Man is getting to see the unique designs that all of his enemies have been given.

Déonté Martin decides to help highlight the amazing villains of the Mega Man franchise in this piece of fan art. They are all in the midst of attacking Mega Man, who couldn't seem less fazed. He is ready to face these same foes that he has been beating for decades.

5 Future Wars

Created by an artist known as MrDream, this art is a very unique interpretation of the franchise. It's almost as though the picture is supposed to be a snapshot of some sort of dystopian future involving Mega Man and his supporting characters.

Alongside Zero, Mega Man looks ready to clean up the streets and bring the world back into order. Although based on the looks of his many enemies also featured in the artwork, this is not going to be an easy task.

4 Volnutt Took It Hard

Fans were extremely excited when the game titled Mega Man Universe was originally announced. In turn, they couldn't have been more disappointed when it was later revealed to be canceled.

Fans love feeling an emotional connection to their favorite characters. Artist kdaesung wanted to use his skills to create that connection between Mega Man and his fans by making this wonderful fan art. Apparently, the cancelation of the game had left Mega Man much more devastated than even the fans were.

3 Mega Comic

Artem Solop must be a very big comic book fan. In creating this fan art, he's giving fans a little glimpse into what a particular comic book series might look like featuring everyone's favorite video game robot.

The abstract shapes making up the picture add to its allure. Like any piece of amazing art, one simply wants to just study this piece for an extended period of time. The only regret is that this actually isn't a real comic.

2 Mega Man 2 Tribute

Rob Shields wanted to pay homage to the second installment of the Mega Man franchise. Titled Mega Man 2, this game came out all the way back in 1988. Early on in the franchise, this game helped cement Mega Man's place as one of video games' superstars in the early years of video games' existence.

With Mega Man featured in the center, he is flanked by his many enemies of the game on all sides in the background. A very enjoyable experience, this game deserves good artwork and Rob Shields gave it just that.

1 Realistic Mega Man

This piece is perhaps the most unique fan art on this list. Artist TGY decided to create a picture of Mega Man and Zero if they actually existed in the real world. After seeing this art, it only leaves us hoping that someday, someone makes a live-action Mega Man movie.

The two robot brothers could not look more badass as thy pose back to back at the center of the artwork. Grounding them in a real-world sense makes them feel all the more awesome, and fans should be titillated at the notion that someday this character will probably be adapted for the big screen.
