While it may be some time before we see the X-Men join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, one actress is already tossing her name into the ring to portray Storm in any potential reboot.Ever since it was announced that Disney would be purchasing 21st Century Fox, the majority of fans were thrilled at the idea of the X-Men and the Fantastic Four, joining the MCU. Now that the deal has closed and Fox's X-Men films have seemingly come to an end -- with the fate of New Mutants still up in the air -- it's time to think ahead to what's to come. With the exception of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Marvel Studios and president Kevin Feige are expected to recast the X-Men, including the role of Storm. And while many actresses have already expressed interest in the gig, American Gods' Yetide Badaki is using Twitter to, hopefully, be considered for the role.RELATED: Marvel's Kevin Feige Teases Fantastic Four, X-Men in the MCU"I don’t think this comes as a surprise to anyone but as a dark skinned woman of African Origin, I’d love to play Storm," the actress tweeted, before proceeding to tag Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios, Marvel, Disney, and the like, even hashtagging Black Panther director Ryan Coogler.

It's a move we see on social media quite often, however, it doesn't necessarily always work. The one big exception? Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, of course. The actor originally began tweeting Marvel about an Asian hero all the way back in 2014 before tagging Marvel in a tweet last year -- this time, specifically concerning Shang-Chi. The move ended up paying off and he was announced as Shang-Chi during Marvel Studios' Hall H presentation at Comic Con International last weekend.

We currently don't know what Marvel Studios has planned for Storm, however, Badaki definitely has the talent to get on Kevin Feige's radar -- hopefully. Then again, she's not the only actress that has campaigned for the role. Just last year, DeWanda Wise, who had to drop out of Captain Marvel due to scheduling conflicts, revealed she wanted to play Storm. She was later joined by If Beale Street Could Talk star KiKi Layne who said she was "actively" campaigning for the gig.

While it remains to be seen just who Feige and company cast as Storm, one thing is for certain, all three actresses would be a welcome addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And as Simu Liu has showed us, it never hurts to shoot your shoot on Twitter.
